Does anyone know how you can tell if you got a code for sure? I was pretty sure I got the one that was split up, but then when I went to the website for the Keep it just thanked me for applying to the beta... is that what it's supposed to say, or was I unsuccessful?

The codes don't get you in immediately, you just get skipped to the front of the line on the next batch of invites.

That's what I did. What I meant was that after typing in the code and pressing next, it directed me to go the Keep website and login with my Origin account, then I got that message.

All valid codes (even those claimed hours ago) bring you to the confirm product page with the castle and this text:

"Dragon Age™: Keep (Friends & Family Beta)

You’ve been invited to the Dragon Age Keep Beta! To get started visit dragonagekeep.com, sign in with your Origin account and follow steps on screen. You will then be on the priority access list to try out the DA Keep at the next available opportunity."

 

Did you click the "next" button after this screen? You'll either get a green arrow (you're in!) or it will tell you the code has already been used.

He's having some fun with codes handed out for free, why would he be reprimanded? If it bugs you, just don't participate. We will all get in eventually.

Meh, I don't blame the tweeters for trolling; it was bound to happen. I just think allowing your fans to be teased like this kind of cruel, thats all. Straight up tweeting of the codes is one thing; slicing them up, blocking out characters, thats just cruel lol. We have ppl on the beta invite list who have been waiting a long time and I don't see this sitting well with them.

We have ppl on the beta invite list who have been waiting a long time and I don't see this sitting well with them.

 

As someone who has been waiting since beta sign-up opened (and someone who has been up all night waiting for codes I am not fast enough to type) I don't mind them keeping things interesting. I'm glad that someone is getting in, even if I'm a forever sad panda. It's not like them not handing out codes on Twitter in silly ways would actually get me in any faster!

lol If I'd had the foresight to sign up that early I'd be pretty miffed about randoms getting in earlier than I because of some marketing stunt. You're clearly a better person than I lol. That makes me kind of glad I didn't sign up so early.
