I'm not rustled about the twitter stuff. That's fine. But I am a bit miffed at not getting selected. I applied a loooooong time ago, and I've been playing BioWare games since Baldur's Gate. I just wish that kind of long-time passion and commitment counted for more in getting selected for this. I didn't think my mini-essay was all that bad either.

Honestly, as long as some people have been waiting it makes me wonder if the applications really matter much, or if it's largely random selection. I mean, tens of thousands of applications is a lot to go through by hand, so I wouldn't blame them.

Oh well. I'm not really that upset about it. I just reeeeaaaally want to see it. Also provide feedback. I'm in a mood to critique things.

Yeah, there are times when I think "Did I forget to apply?" I'm sure I applied twice, both a long time ago. I don't even remember if there were questions or not. I just want to start playing around with it.

I miss the days when "contest" weren't on twitter.

 

Where people actually had a fair chance at them, send an email, get randomly picked.

 

Better then twitter where tweets are never sent out to everyone at the same time (There's a delay for people depending on where you are), so if there's people that see them even a second before you, it's almost pointless to even try.

 

Just wish there was another more fair way to have a chance at getting a code for people that aren't super-fast and see tweets .0000001 second after they are posted.

I think you can do it.  With things like patreon, kickstarter, and just the internet in general....not to mention SONY's new found willingness to embrace indie devs its now more possible than ever before.  I wish you luck! (even though you turned me down  i kid! lol) We could always use more and better games!  You have to start somewhere!  Some of the developer studio success stories are really amazing.

HA! don't feel bad..i ALMOST did, but i'm not for any kind of social media.  and then anything  you do is forever tied to your name and there for all to see...especially future employers and things like that.  Just not for me.  I know its not without many great benefits to have.

that's true, I'd like to really create some amazing games. I even have thought about going back to the roots when video games were just fun, having achievements and in-game content rewards for completing certain parts of a game. you don't have to worry about Twitter lol I rarely use it. I just use Tumblr
