??? - Unfortunately, Pre-Ordering doesn't get you into the Keep Beta...

What you get if you are lucky and redeem the code fast enough?

 

Priority Access into Dragon Age Keep Beta. Probably means next time a wave of invites comes out you get in.

All this stress for just a maybe or maybe not... it sounds more like and expectation campaign for the keep, than a real chance to get beta invitation

The way I understand it, it seems to work more like "You have an invitation, you're just waiting for the club door to open".

Heres a tip: The twitter website is slow by about 19 seconds from when someone posts a tweet to it showing up. However if you use an app you can see it at probably seconds after they post it.

 

Although you still need to beat the fast typers who dont suddenly forget how to type (as I do) when seeing the code.

I really don't think Bioware is going to give an invitation to some one that probably don't give feedback, or leak the keep, only because he or she was fast enough to write a code.

When you get a code, it straight up tells you that you are guaranteed into the beta in the next wave of invites. Also, when you redeem the code and login, you already have to sign the NDA.

 

And yes, it is essentially one step away from an open beta. Elder Scrolls Online's beta in the final stages was giving out codes left and right.

As I do not have Twitter, Facebook, and have already pre-ordered, perhaps the VO cast from the DA series will visit me and act out prior choices for the sake of accuracy?

Because they, as individuals, use it? This isn't some official contest, they are giving away free codes normally restricted to those at the Con that could get them. Several codes have been given away on the boards as well FWIW.

BioWare distributed Keep codes to a lot of people to give out as those people saw fit. Some of those people are employees. Some of them are well-known fans. Some of them are media outlets.

The ways in which those codes get to individuals who will use them isn't up to BioWare. Each of the people with Keep codes is giving them out however he or she wants to, whether to friends, or to the public via Twitter contests, drawings, trivia, BSN threads, etc. As far as the company is concerned, this is just a fun extra way to get people involved in the Keep beta - and to get more people interested in the Keep.

BioWare is still sending out the usual beta invitations via the application process on the Keep website. This is just a little lagniappe.
