Because that's how you've chosen to interpret it! For me, the treat is the enjoyment of applying a love of poetry to a fictional character with an actress who is refreshingly into her gig.

No one is forcing you to do it if you don't want to...it's just a cute little contest to giveaway codes because people were complaining that they didn't have a fair enough chance at getting a code when it's just posted up in a photo. I think these contests are more fun than racing to type in a code, and a part of me wants to participate even though I've already got a code (but I won't! No double-dipping from me!).
This is about having lighthearted fun. I'm on vacation and am using the time of my day to come up with entertaining ways to share this stuff with you.
And that's great. It's just things like that could have been announced and managed via normal BW channels (such as forum, blog, site etc), and not via some external 'social' service. I mean...you DO seem to have an active BSN acc, right?

That poetry contest is killer. I had a hundred different thoughts. And then when I finally selected one I felt bad for spamming her with six or seven posts thanks to twitter's character limit.

Not to worry. I'm sure that by the process of elimination, I'll get into the beta eventually.
Were there questions on the application? I don't remember. I went to the website and I think I accidentally entered a third time. It said "Your application has been sent, etc." but I only wanted to take a look and see if there were questions on the application.
That just means you had already submitted an application. It doesn't let you do it more than once.

Which people who are griping that it was done on twitter should take into account. I have no twitter account, and I was still able to participate equally.
