Well, I started a thread under the discussion area.

Also, I'm starting to get the feeling that Fen'harel is like Nyarlathotep, who was a shapeshifter and messenger between various god things and groups of god things in Lovecraft stories. Also a bit of an ******* trickster who loved to drive people mad.

Well, mine is also pretty rusty. I don't think he's an exact match, but the part where he could go between different groups of Gods reminded me a bit of him.

But maybe my memory of the matter isn't entirely clear.

I was just think about those soldiers we saw in the very first trailer for DA:I, those with the unique armor on in the Inquisition.

I think this will be the armor for our army as the game goes on as the inquisition grows and becomes it's own organization.

There is a dragon we haven't seen before around the 2:43 mark of this video.

Not true, there's been an extensive fight scene with him in the New Dragon and Giant Boss Video.

Well, spoilers have been discussed in the spoiler discussion, but I must comment that things don't really seem to be adding up with the villain featured in the Artbook.

How would Morrigan know something was up if that was the true villain? Why would Felassan have any connection at all?

No. The spoilers do not cover the whole story, and there's still much left to discuss.

The Certain someone on the Artbook is red herring. They want us to think they are pulling the strings...but in fact The Elder One is merely using them for their own gains..Because lets face it. This certain someone was so obvious..no surprise at all.

Oh yes, they were very obvious.

However, they don't seem like they were what everyone was predicting, and it just seems unlikely that they're the guy Felassan was working for.

Also, Flemeth. What role is she to play? Morrigan certainly hinted that what she was up to was somehow connected.

Flemeth I wouldn't worry about. She may be cryptic as all hell, but I think she has good intentions. While I always kill her for  Morrigan.

ive had a few theories. Since the leak

Now imagine we are correct tbat EO is controlling the events of dai. His goal is not to rule or even destroy but to merge the realms so he can become whole. At the moment he's fractured only his arrogance is doing the work. But once he's whole a new being is created, the original spirit. The thing that corrupted the magisters... the original taint

Hrm... Well then, what would the other fragments be?

this is a list of his fragments ive theorized

1:Pride: manifests in arrogance his key trait
2:wraith: he wishes vengence on to the mortals for refusing to worship him
3:gluttony: he feeds off the chaos... the more he eats the more powerful he becomes
4:envy: he hates the maker goes out his way to take everything he has(worship and power) just so he can have it(weakest fragment)
5:sloth: the only "good fragment" due to sloth being benign and docile unless provoked
6:greed: the elder brother to gluttony overall benign but he is the smartest fragment as he's was able to "tap" into the minds of mortal and sow his powers of avarice among the populance
7:lust: she is what desires of the EO stem from she is both good and evil depending on her whims

These fragments imo are what the demons of today are made from just in weaker power levels and spirits are actually the transended variants of the lesser fragments

Oooh.  I like this.  Fractured into pieces by something long, long ago.  Trying to pull itself back together and regain the power it once had.

I really hope we get an explanation as to what the Elder One really is, and something about its history.

It could likely be a Magister similar to Corypheus. The thing about them having a god complex and being all powerful kinda matches up. Thats obviously just a theory though. I do highly doubt its a dragon though.

The problem with that is that it doesn't really explain who Felassan was working for, and if it were Corypheus then why was everyone able to predict events before he was released?

Why all the prophecies acting like this was a plan that had been in motion for some time? Cory would have just woken up, and hadn't been able to do more than influence people to try and free him.

I said a Magister LIKE Corypheus, not Corypheus himself. It was my thought to the OP, not the past few posts.
Like I said, just a theory I had tossed around whilst replaying DA:2. That being said, Im starting to move away from that theory for a number of reasons.

So The Elder One is like Father from Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood, who split parts from himself in the form of the seven deadly sins? I approve.
