We've had long discussions about that doppelganger. Look at the door behind him. looks like blood going down the door as if it was rain.

I think the Doppelganger is just a mini boss in the Fade. The Demon just took the Inquisitor's form for the fight.

Same. or at least I hope and pray to every thing that is right and just in our world that's its just a dream or fade creature and not some annoying clone we have to kill.

this is a video which was posted over in the Scuttlebutt area and they show off red templars at 4:40ish and the Red Templar Knights have Red Lyrium growing right out of them. How would lyrium grow on a human body? and in their camp you see more cages which again makes me think they are forcing Slaves to consume red lyrium, or to harvest red lyrium but the fact its growing out of the templars makes me think its the former.

So Red Lyrium feeds off people like a fungus and it consumes people and thats how they harvest it? If The Elder One does indeed have a hand in Red Lyrium he is a sick bastard.

I do wonder how much of a hand the Elder One has in Red Lyrium. but it does seem like the Red Lyrium grows on people, considering the Behemoth. And i can't think of much of a reason for the Red Templar to be taking slaves. Red Lyrium grows on people, templars capturing people. i think its kinda for one reason.

Red lyrium being parasitic kind of makes sense, seeing as it seems to take-over and grow out of the body while simultaneously altering mental capacity and actions. What was it that the codex or whatever said in the Primeval Thaig, that the rock wraiths feasted on the gods?

Oh.

Oh god.

Magic sings in Dragon Age. Magic SINGS. Or at least its sources do.

What if you could control that song, or replace it with your own? What if you actually had to win a rock off against the villain in order to prevent them from establishing their own voice and song in the Black City?

Just as long as it doesn't resemble "The Final Song" portion of Drakengard 3.

The game itself is a gigantic hack-and-slash gore fest, where you can freely (and even in the middle of a combo) switch between four different weapons to attack enemies.  Much of the party interaction is pretty crass, though, and the main character is certainly someone you wouldn't want to meet in a dark alley.  Sure she looks pretty and innocent, but she'll wreck you if she has even the slightest reason for doing so.

Anyway, the "Final Song" portion, which is basically the final boss of the game, is basically one gigantic rhythm game.  I don't think it's nearly as bad as the one that was present in the first game, but you're basically countering waves of magic that are sung out by the boss.

Some people have had a very hard time with it, and I don't exactly have the best rhythm abilities, so if we do get a rock-off, I'm hoping that it's more a sequence-memory type of thing.

He're a link:  https://www.youtube....h?v=s6w0Q_vh2BI  (sorry, don't know how to embed it)

It starts up immediately, and goes for about five and half to six minutes.

And, of course, spoilers, obviously.

Already looked it up.

Anyhow, I've been having thoughts about what would be the only appropriate point in time to destroy the Elder One, and if they are a being intent on assuming full Godhood and everything, such stories usually have only one point in time where it is most thematically appropriate to end them.

You see, if they're already sort of immortal, you can only inconvenience them. Though right now I'm wondering if Corypheus could possess tainted non-humanoids...

Ah well. That is a digression that I'm not willing to get further into.

See, there's usually only one point where you truly slay the wannabe God. You always destroy them at the moment of their seeming triumph. When their goal is just a finger's breadth away, and they've almost captured the divinity they were after. That's when they're defeated. Not when they're still weak, but when they're almost as strong as they want to be.

So you want the Elder One to get what he wants, transforming into a even bigger monster than he is now, and then we defeat him?

thematically it's the point where the hero succeeds.
The hero disarm the bomb with a second left
Rescues the damsel just before the train runs her over
continue ad infinitum

Reminds me of my childhood favorite film Aladdin. When Jafar becomes a Genie only seconds later get sucked into a lamp.

And of course straight from the 80s...Cheesy Villain speech from He-Man.

"People of Eternia! I stand before the Great Eye of the galaxy. Chosen by destiny by the powers of Greyskull! This inevitable moment will transpire before your eyes, even as He-Man himself bears witness to it. Now. I, Skeletor, am Master of the Universe! YES! Yes... I feel it, the power... fills me. Yes, I feel the universe within me! I am... I am a part of the cosmos! The power flows... Flows through me! Of what consequence are you now? This planet, these people. They are NOTHING to me! The universe is power! Real, unstoppable POWER! and I am that force! I am that power! KNEEL BEFORE YOUR MASTER! Fool! you are no longer my EQUAL! I am more than man! MORE THAN LIFE! I... am... a... GOD! Now. You... will... KNEEEEEL! KNEEEEL!"Skeletor

Exactly.

It just wouldn't be right to stop Skeletor before he could make that speech. The villain always has to be stopped after they've almost achieved their own goal.

Killing him early just wouldn't feel as heroic.

Anyhow, the new gameplay video had it mentioned that we're apparently going to have to feed our hand enough power that it'll be able to equal and close the breach? And that no one actually has any idea what will happen if you feed your hand that much power?

It swells to Cartoon proportions, so the final battle with the elder one is just you smacking him around with a hand the size of a high dragon.

in DA-A the elder was not that difficult to down even in highest difficulties especially if you began with a character already really high. (I often began with a lvl25+ character when default began with lvl18)

I suppose that could work. But you don't make a magic hand you don't understand and provide absolutely no consequences for your empowering it without understanding.
