Off topic.

But doesn't the Inquisitor just look like a bad ass with his troops. also what made him so willing to kill Wardens and Work with them. i'm really curious about that plot line.

Common enemy related to why you need a Dragon to fight a Dragon Thrall? Because what else would a Zombie Dragon with bits of metal stuck in it be?

Now, I do think it's very important that the enemy doesn't dismiss you as a mere insect, but rather considers you to be a legitimate threat and rival.

I was also thinking about this.  I have a theory that in the beginning you are seen by the Elder One as just a mistake.  Something that wasn't supposed to happen but something easily fixed.  Hence why the Elder One does not attack you while you are weak.  It is only once you have gained enough power and influence does the Elder One realize that you are in fact a threat and when you manage to either survive his attack or interfer with enough of his plans does he begin to see you as a rival.  This I think would make an interesting story arc for the relationship between the Inquisitor and the Elder One.

Also love the part where the Inquisitor is all like all of this started because of arguments about the next world...maybe we should believe in this one.  Think it is around 1:00 or so.

The thing is, he specifically refers to you as an "Unknowing" rival. I think by that point you know that there's a big bad in need of being defeated, so you're probably a rival because of something about you that you don't know yet.

True, but we don't know at what point in the game that is.  When I'm talking about the mistake that the EO doesn't see as a threat, I'm more thinking very early in the game.  Before you get to Skyhold kind of thing.  The inquisition is really weak at this point.  Isolated with no allies.  It is not so much that this might even be in the story but is my own explanation on why the EO doesn't attack you then (other than you know plot armor <_< ).  By midway through the game I defenitly think you have progressed to the 'unknowing' rival and this is where in game we would see more interaction between the EO and us.  At this point we know he is the big bad and have been trying to find a way to fight him, but early on it sounds like we don't know who the real threat is.

Is it me or does it look like two different dragons fighting this time?

From one of the other trailers we don't get to know who the main threat is until we get to meet Dorian and the Venatori by the sound of it.

Oh...Does anyone recognize the voice at the end of the trailer.  The one asking what kind of hero we'll be.  I almost feel like I can place it, but...it remains a mystery.

The dragons used placeholders in older trailers (i.e. green big horned model). There is like four different dragon models shown in the latest trailer.

We dismissed it a long time ago but do you think he could be the Formless One? supposedly they taught blood magic to the mage's, not the Old Gods. and we know they are real and VERY ancient. also they are unlike any kind of spirit or demon.

Again it was just a sound clip, but the 3 entities in all the trailers which i could think might be the elder one is the weird dragon, the huge spider thing, and the black smoke in front of the Inquisitor.

Out of the three, I'm leaning towards the black smoke.  Just because it actually looked like we were in convo with him while the EO (at least I'm assuming that is the EO) is speaking.  This might just be one of his many forms, or it might be the form he is able to take outside the Fade.  Idk if he is actually the Formless One, but if he is not than it is likely that he is something like the Formless One.  An entity which is on the same level power wise as the Formless One is, but is something we have never actually seen before.

Wow I'm already annoyed that people view me as a messiah when I just was spying on humans, lol. Still is a good sign.

About that zombie dragon, it kinda reminded me how Corypheus and Architect looks: mutant humans merged with what they wore when they entered the city.

Could the same be possible for dragons? Or is this a free Old God? Also, zombie dragon has 5 horns right? And wasn't said high dragons and old gods have 5 horns? Same with dragon flemeth. Of course there's a chance they got rid of that part of the lore

It's probably not the spider thing, because it was shown in one of the threads that you are going to meet Hawke and Stroud in something called the Abyss to find the Warden in a quest, which is most likely a side quest.

i doubt its the spider thing, just those are the only 3 entities we have seen that are one of the kind, the rest are all fear or envy demons, those 3 forms are still unnamed.

Since the Spider thing is most likely tied to the finding the Warden Commander, I think we can write it off as the least likely candidate for the EO.

As for the Rival thing, that could mean someone else who is trying to save Thedas, but doesn't like the Inquisitor and not the EO, because it didn't sound like the EO at least not to me.
