DAI can mess up, any game can mess up. But using ME3 as a reason that they might again is not good reasoning, because the writers for both games are completely different, with the exception of Patrick Weekes who wasn't responsible for the ending of ME3 (that's Marc Walters and Casey Hudson).

maybe but i believe we are veering off topic somewhat... (but you i like lol)

It is bias because there's no strong indication whatsoever that someone else could be the big bad

Of course we don't.  The game's not even out yet, and hardly any characters have been shown.

Game may not be out yet, but one can infer who is likely the big bad, even without looking at the leaks and spoilers that has been around.

Oh my! :o
Perhaps the zombie dragon is a redesign of an archdemon after all. One thing i've noticed while inspecting the dragon more closely, is that it seems to have lots of metal splinters infused with it's body, similar to Corypheus. Thinking back I also remember Bioware posting a concept art of a gate of sorts, with a note that mentioned the old gods call.

I have to wonder though, assuming the dragon is an old god, how come another blight hasn't started then?

Considering Leliana may have fought against Urthemiel herself in DAO, she could confirm the resemblance :o

But if its true then why the lack of Dark spawn? Was he cured of the taint when he was slain? Thus has no Darkspawn to command?

Right...but why the Venatori? If it is indeed Dumat, then he would have Darksapwn to command. Yet he has Venatori. So either Dumat is an Old God Baby from the past...or he some how got cured from the taint by other means.

No point to use the spawn when you can use red lyruim, Cory and other devices.

Imshael will probably be like Cory, another agent of chaos.

I suspect that he only took the form of a dragon for aesthetics, nothing inspires fear like a dragon. I believe that he can shapeshift I don't think he is a dragon or Old God or Archdemon, but something far more terrifying.

There's a difference between changing into a dragon and looking like a old god.
