And yes it allows them to dream, use magic but beyond that its very alien

But prophecy says that there was a time that the fade and thedas was one,
and its beyond just those simple things. Lyrium drills into the world and holds the two together almost.

How about The Elder One's Weapon of choice? Sure he has some serious magical power, but what about something more Practical? I'm always of the belief that if you are the main villain of a fantasy setting a sword is the go to weapon. Large enough to be used with two hands but can still be used with one. Things like Maces and Axes and pole arms are for your minions. But a Sword is for the head honcho.

Oh i think the Forgotten One's wanted to hurt everything. but hates those who worship the Creators the most.

Ah...so They must HATE the Elfquisitor.
We know characters are going to be treated differently. it would be kinda cool, if it hated/disdain the Elfquisitor even more.

Well we have first hand account stating the Golden city was black before Corypheus and the other magisters entered the city.
And we have 2 different religions talking about a city within the Fade. The Eternal City and the Golden City.
But this is where it gets interesting to me.
this is a direct quote from cory "You offered... the power... of the God's." that statement is directed at Dumat. But the big thing there is the fact he says God's.
Plural, not singular, indicating there is more than one god. which in turn gives more merit to the Elven Religion.
But in honesty i don't know what the black city is. i barely have any theories about it, because it is so unknown, yet i believe it is a prison, i believe there is a maker, but not how the chantry preaches, I but here is my question. if everything in the fade is a reflection of something from the mortal world, then is the golden city too? or did something with creativity actually make it itself. Otherwise, where did the creature(s) get the idea to make it?
I believe that's an important fact, Every entity we have met from the fade is a reflection of our emotions, even the Forbidden one's.
Imshael reflects the choices we can make and feeds off of that.
Desire demons desire things because of our own desires.
Pride demons create cities from the Pride of Emperor's dreams. all of that is a imitations. so is the Golden city/Eternal City/Black City a imitation of something else too?
I could come up with hundreds of ideas about it but never make a solid theory.

I used to think that he was Morrigan's Old God child, but he'd only be a few years old at this point, although that doesn't exactly mean that he hasn't already gone through the ritual. But I also have changed my mind about that because for an Old God to come out like this so suddenly seems like a really bad idea. I'd have thought they'd be smarter than that. Also, if it IS an Old God and was Morrigan's child, she'd be with him, not helping the Inquisition. Unless she's a double-agent or something...

One thing for certain with the black city, it's pretty much an unknown and dangerous city.

OGB isn't a cannon fact, he is a choice which won't be in all playthroughs therefore he can't be significant for the plot otherwise it would be a big F-U to the other half of the fanbase that told her to hit the road.

Yes it is.
Do you think the Golden City is like a plug? like for a bath, like its holding something back or stopping the fade from entering somewhere, it might be the former since Demons are afraid to go near it.
I was just thinking about its fixed point like a bowl, that no matter what side you are in the bowl, you can always see the middle.
This is most likely untrue, its just a thought i was spit balling.

These theories....they are.....delicious.
I actually like the fishbowl idea no matter the view, the city is always in the center.
Kinda like in pictures peoples eyes always seem like their looking at you.

You guys I was lurking on this thread before I was even an Apostate. I'm just behind lore wise so maybe im asking the same questions.
Earlier you guys went into to details about the two Elven Gods and the like trickster guy who imprisoned them both whos methods of imprisomment
vary depending on the folklore and what have you. Those theories were also.....delicious.
So continue on, I demand more theories.

Fen'Harel is the trickster god.
Here is his description.
In ancient times, only Fen'Harel could walk without fear among both our gods and the Forgotten Ones, for although he is kin to the gods of the People, the Forgotten Ones knew of his cunning ways and saw him as one of their own. And that is how Fen'Harel tricked them. Our gods saw him as a brother, and they trusted him when he said that they must keep to the heavens while he arranged a truce. And the Forgotten Ones trusted him also when he said he would arrange for the defeat of our gods, if only the Forgotten Ones would return to the abyss for a time. They trusted Fen'Harel, and they were all of them betrayed. And FenHarel sealed them away so they could never again walk among the People.
In my opinion, he is one of the better written legends in Dragon Age and a Villain i would love to see.
