Why do you think he uses weapons though? Maybe he just oozes corruption thats all black and ****.

Because for the final fight, I hope for a up close and persinal sword locking one on one boss fight.

Speak of dragons, whats you two's common thought on the dragon fighting dead-ish dragon/necrodragon. Is the other one Flemeth? Or Morrigan?
Flemeth saving us in every games start reminds me of always being a prisoner in skyrim, a possible staple of the series.
I doubt Flemeth has anything to do with the Mark so could she maybe come in Dragon form to save us after Mark is received?

my theory is that we learn a way to "bond" with that dragon and its actually our "partner" that helps out when we need them for that fight. Flemeth is more of a observer and rarely directly interacts with mortals

WHo da hell is Gaxkang? I dont remeber meeting him in origins but its been so long maybe I did and I just dont remember.

Hes a forgotten one? Also who da hell is Vilhm Madon? And why does he say: "The adequate ones find the beacons, and then I find them. But you... you are already brighter than the signal at Ishal. Eyes are on you from a very high vantage, Grey Warden. I cannot hide in your wake, but I will not be a footnote! Witness Gaxkang!"

oh the gaxkang... yes he's a forgotten one and his fight is unlocked by finding certain books/talking to a dwarf. Fights a pain in the arse sometimes. He's low on the totem pole in their hierarchy

Are the forgotten ones possibly aligned with EO, maybe since origins been hatching a plan to break him out let lose EO upon a breached world?

ah now your going into the archives of our thread :)

Its been theorized that the formless one is the EO due being the strongest on the heirarchy, and with 2 dead and 1 MIA its reasonable to assume its him and his goal is whatever he has planned

Hah im reading a user wiki thing thats really detailed out. I am disappointed the last two vanguards of this thread seem so

unwilling to re-hash old theories with an over eager Mage.

Well Apostate, if it is any interest to you, we discussed if The Elder One Wore Boxers Or Briefs. We Agreed Briefs for they are restrictive and would add to his evil demeanor.

Really can't wait to see just how arrogant he is. I'm thinking something like Apocalypses. "I am as far beyond  demons as they are beyond you!"

Could he be one of the if not the first Pride Demons? The First Ones tend to be the most scary and powerful.

Not influenced by red lyrium, influenced by the Elder One, who now uses red lyrium as a direct way to always influence the person near the red lyrium,

Lyrium is a direct connection to the fade,

Sleeping is a direct connection to the fade.

Lyrium transmit a song and magic,

Red lyrium transmit a different addictive song and magic.

So we believe the EO uses red lyrium to control, but he can speak to people in there dreams, making them act on pride, or paranoia.

Also..

Loghain had the Luxury of avoiding the Elder One's Whispers when he was awake. The Moment Meredith bought the idol from Bertrand, it was non-stop mad whispers 24/7 while asleep and awake, so yeah, Meredith got the raw end of the deal on that one.

Gaxkang is a Forbidden One.

And the Formless One is the most powerful of them all.

There are only 4 Forbidden Ones.

Gaxkang. Origins. sent back to the fade by the warden.

Xebenkeck. DA2. sent back to the fade by Hawke.

Imshael. TME-Free

Formless One. No idea where that one is.

They are not dead. When you destroy a spirit/demon in the "real world", it just weaken them and they get send back to the Fade.

And this is when you realize that fighting a demons invasion is futile until you close the breach/rift that makes them come over.

Well i believe Flemeth was a woman.

Key word "was"

what we know of the forbidden Ones is they are stronger forms of demons, with different capabilities and hunger than regular old demons.

Gaxkang had been a Abomination for hundreds of years. but how did that one body stay young if he was alive for such a time that 2 different adventures had long since turned to dust. and the other went raving mad. and he purposely lets people find him "I encourage fools to waste their lives in fantasy. Those adequate for my purpose find the gems, and then i find them. therefor we can infer that he has been doing this for sometime, so i believe he takes the body of the people that find him and uses them as his host.

We also know he can turn into two forms of demons which no other encountered abomination can do that.

Xebenkeck is a tad less fleshed out. but we can also assume she has been around for a while since her tome is in a old dwarven structure

Imshael is an interesting creature, because he is the most of the four we have heard dialogue from. He is incredibly persistent that he is a Spirit, not a demon, even though he Killed the entire dalish clan, Attempted to kill Michel, and peacefully by choice left The Keeper's First,(I can't remember her name for the life of me.)

the two aspects i find most interesting is the fact while possessed, Imshael didn't turn her into a abomination. and that he is so aggressive when correcting someone that he is not a demon, but a Spirit of Choice.

Now Flemeth.

Been alive since the tower age.

Takes host to stay young.

Can transform her form,

Is not a spirit or a demon,

Human Flemeth summonedSpirit to help her take vengeance but it instead possessed her.

Yes i quite believe Flemeth is the Formless One, as cool as it would be for Flemeth to be Andraste, i think she hold the Formless One in her, one of the most ancient and powerful Spirit/Demons in her, the Spirit who supposedly taught blood magic.

Now let me jump into a quick theory.

we know Flemeth was a powerful mage to hide her magic all her life, and while possessed kill Conbar and every one of his soldiers.

We know Felassan knew who Imshael was and had spoken to him prior to this, and if my memory hasn't failed me he recognized the ritual used to summon Imshael.

I think Flemeth was a dreamer and had spoken to the Formless one.

But here comes a theory.

this has ending spoilers for The Masked Empire novel.

Simply awesome!

Does Flemeth need Morrigan not only for her body but survive this upcoming change to Thedas?

Is it that Flemeth all powerful as she is now, in her current 'form', can't survive the change and is dependent on

Dark Ritual Morrigan?

my,my,my so questions my friend lol

1:Its implied that her body is similar to humonculi where eventually it will breakdown to the state of uselessness.

2: her power level is that of legend and she is always this powerful until she body hops and then she will need to have a "rest" period to adapt.

Such curiousity. Quite refreshing
