what do you expect Hawke to do. all they are trying to do is simply live their life and provide for their family they can't help it if one situation after another keeps falling on their lap so it is unfair to blame them for everything that goes on. the only thing you can possibly blaming for was helping Anders distract the revered mother anything else was nothing but unfortunate circumstance

Like I said, there's no easy solution to the Hawke problem. If he just died, there'd probably have setting equivalent angels invading trying to get rid of him. If he took up farming, everyone would starve.

There needs to be like a magic powered rocket so he can be shot off into space.

How can he be when he's dead in many play throughs?

Lots of dead people are showing up, some people in more playthroughs than others.

But given the suspicions about Archie, he's probably harder to kill than most.

The Architect is probably alive the same way Cory survived. I'll be curious to see what will happen if these two meet.

I don't think they'll handwave the state of the Architect, that being said I'd be fascinated to see him meet or atleast comment on Corypheus.

In general I can't wait to see how our companions and advisors will feel about the ancient magisters still being out there :)

Wouldn't need to be handwaved. He's likely a Tevinter Magister himself, just forgot. Could have transferred to another body.

It would still leave a sour taste in alot of players mouth though, as there was nothing hinting to the Architect bodyhopping.

No I think the base game is primarily focused on us finding out who is behind the Breach, stop the Agents of Chaos, close the Breach and build up the Inquisition to be a powerful game.

Spoiler

Which means Elder One will be dealt with in a massive Dragonborn-size style DLC. Come to think of it, the Dragonborn DLC's main plot was to take out the First Dragonborn or you could call him the Eldest of Dragonborns....

Hmmm...

Dragonborn was a horrible dlc with little story though.

Yeah. I'm seeing a Cliff hanger where Cory Summons The Elder One, but we kill Cory, but the Elder One goes into hiding to plot his next move.

But that does not make sense bioware said that the elder one was supposed to be A mystery so it does not make sense that Corey is the elder one. we see Cory's silhouette in the demo it isn't much of a mystery unless you did not play Dragon Age 2 so I am convinced that Cory is just the Herald and the elder one has yet to reveal himself.

It could be the Cory thinks he is the one pulling the strings.  I think this was discussed many pages ago.  So Cory thinks he is the one in charge, but unbeknownst to him he is actually being manipulated by the true Elder One.  Cory is defeated at the end by the Inquisition, and everyone thinks this is the end.  But in fact the true power behind Cory manages to get out (this could be the cliff hanger) In this game we defeat Cory and the immediate threat he poses, but another bigger threat is released.  Either to be tackled in dlc/expansion or in another game.

What they could do with this, is introduce the big bad that escaped the breach in the cliff hanger in a dlc or expansion.  Everyone can think it is over but then we learn otherwise.  This could then set up the next game.  Instead of making a short game (DA2 <_< ) to bridge the big ideas they could do it in an expansion.

Idk, but I think this would be a good way for the series to move forward. ^_^

Cory getting manipulated makes much more sense. At the end we hear " You have outlived your usefulness." And the Elder One somkes Cory.

The more I learn the more I'm inclined to believe this.  Bioware has maintained throughout that this is not an END.  Instead it wraps up some plot points, aka mage/templar, the civil war in Orlais etc.  But this is also a great time to introduce knew stuff.  Think of this like the season final of a TV show.  They wrap up the plot points of the season, but introduce stuff for the next season.

This game is about

A) the Breach

B) The rise of the inquisition

C) Find the one responsible for the Breach

So the game would be concluded by:

It may very well be that the Breach was caused by Cory.  He may have been influenced, knowingly or unknowingly, but killing him would be finding who caused the Breach.  The rise of the inquisition, the whole game pretty much.  And we seal the Breach in the end.  This is a self contained plot, but there are elements that could lead to the introduction to something new.  This would be smart by Bioware and one of the developers talked about this is the wrap up for the south.  We have spent three games here.  It is time to maybe move North and hinting at a new bad guy would be a cool way to move it north.

Just about anything can and will leave a sour taste in the mouths of players, which is a shame because from a logical standpoint it's more exciting to see important past characters like the Architect return to delve deeper into their story.

Not saying I disagree :) I kept the Architect alive after all. I just don't see them ignoring the choice.

That being said the ancient magisters are absolutely fascinating. I can't wait to see what more info Corypheus will reveal in Inquisition :D
