Hey monkey. we had the whole talk about maybe the elder one is the person who is controlling red lyrium, or at least its part of his plan, do you think that means he also is controlling red templars?

He doesn't even have to have direct control. if he just put the insanity into the lyrium and they just do the chaos he wants.

Like harbinger from ME without the micro-managment. All the chaos that serves his ends but none of the guilt

Yep he didn't control Meredith, just had a song so she would go crazy.

Play enough of "its friday" by that girl you'll go mad lol.

Well we know it predates the shaperate. which means it predates tevinter so it existed while the elves were in power, which only makes me think more about Fen'Harel. and we know it has something to do with the veil being incredibly thin there. either its the cause or the dwarves pulled from the thin veil and then carved it into something. and we know some jewelry and idols are made out of lyrium so that isn't unheard of.

Better question did ancient elvhenan know of these ancient thaigs? or was this before that dwarves made contact with anyone from above ground? in that case maybe the elder one is something from the deep dark underground. becauae that idol was thousands of years old while this new red lyrium is more recent.

It might have been a gaurdian to keep those of the deep in there. What if the dwaves had magic but lost it over time due to red lyrium. Perhaps its a dwavern abominantion. They are extremly rare ive only seen one in the calling and thats implied

We really need to learn more lore of this ancient thaig, because there is so much unknown, maybe the wardens know of these thaigs. they have led the deepest excavations into the deeproads and they have some secret, and that secret was before corypheus. or at least not related.

Because even alistair was keeping it secret if he cameos with the wardens during the Qunari attack. so its obviously they had to grab some of there best to go on this secret mission, a mission that alistair would find more important than helping innocents during an invasion.

There is no evidence that the Primeval Thaig predates the Shaperate. The Shaperate are not above striking something from the Memories if they think it's for the greater good of all dwarves. Prime example; Cad'halash.

The Wardens is up to something and since we apparently will or choose to attack them in DA:I it must be something big and potential dangerous.

Scratch that everything the Wardens is up to is dangerous.  B)

About the Elder One? Old God or a New 'Old' God as in not associated with the Tevinter Pantheon, but of the same species.

About the Primeval Thaig? The Dwarves there did something so reprehensible so as to be stricken from the Memories and abandoned. To survive they were forced to eat the Red Lyrium becoming the Profane.

About Red Lyrium? Tainted lyrium that returned to Thedas when the Ancient Magisters were cast out from the Black City.

well bartand said it predates the known dwarven history so we can only assume that is cannon. and the purge of cadash was never recorded. they didn't strike it from memory like they do to traitors and such, difference. also since they recorded the existence of amgarrak we can assume they like to keep track of their thiags, messed up history or not.

The only question is when we attack is it because they are under the control of corypheus or is because that secret is such a threat, or maybe its something the inquisition needs and the wardens just wont share.

Yes what could be so secret? known location of a giant brood mother hive, secret passage in the deep roads. the architect. the location of an old god prison. truly what could be so secret about the blight?

I mean it was so important the first warden sent them on this mission, so that means he stoped playing politics and had to over see this himself.

They kinda rule the Anderfels, because the king is weak and they also own Vigiles Keep and the lands around that so their role is expanding in the world of Thedas, so they do a little more then just involve themselves with Darkspawn.

Since the Wardens are willing to fight for their secret it must be worth dying over.

Maybe they discovered the Elder One is Captain Kirk from Star Trek and started to worship him.
