Yes.... but whats the goal for them
maybe they dont want another Ferelden or what happened during the fourth blight. so they have direct and continental control, and maybe corypheus is going to use that intention against the world.
I mean if i was the warden i would be really annoyed with a king who is keeping me from ending a blight.

I wouldn't be surprised if Corypheus has a hand in what ever the Grey Wardens is up too, after all what happened in the DA2 DLCs happened and he is still alive which is bad, very bad.

True
but the key the FIRST warden sent them on this mission, and if you read about it, the high constable pretty much handles everything for the grey wardens, the first warden just plays politics in the anderfalls

even if the secret was going on before Corypheus jumped ship into a grey warden, he will have his hands in it during the DA:I campaign.
and we know this secret makes the main character of Last Flight question her loyalty to the grey warden and we don't yet know why the second in command of the Orlesian grey wardens would leave and join the inquisition. (if you don't know Blackwall was constable of the Orlesian grey wardens.)

Wardens... are becoming slightly problmatic
So i wonder if we are going to the anderfalls in a future game. i would love to see one that is more about the dwarves. we haven't seen kal'sharok yet, and that its supposed to be incredibly different then orzammar.

Yes i agree and they be source of new ifomation on darkspawn. But were digressing
I more want to here some history, i just hope we don't have another god to fight, make it something a bit more local, not like kirkwall, but just something not as world changing.

Wait your on to something... lore and history are traditionally facts to some extant. Now bear with me, what if some history is edited to keep the elder one forgotten what if his power not only draws from the fade and red lyrium but from him being worshipped and remembered which possibly explains his lack of known occurances
Woo now thats a theory! that would explain why the memory has no clue about the primeval thaig, or why there is no mention at all of red lyriums existence anywhere our pc has heard of.

Well when you read the lore look through 16 pages of our thread the other elder one threads some things start to add up
I mean it is a stretch, but that really could be the case. maybe they did try to keep people from knowing about instead of people just forgetting about it.

It seems that atleast during the time of GaraHel wardens were being controlled by an unknown entity. Perhaps the Last Flight will talk about the discovery and imprisonment of Corypheus?
What's also interesting is that there are 3 named Forgotten ones since the fall of the Dales/previous blight before DAO. AND atleast that time there were 3 remaining Old Gods. The keeper mentioned these Forgotten Ones as whispering in their dreams...almost similar to what ancient tevinter mention about their own gods.

cory was imprisoned after the 1st blight though but aside from that its solidI'd like to think that the Elder One is one of the remaining Old Gods that the Wardens discovered centuries ago and is being held in stasis (similar to corypheus)It seems that atleast during the time of GaraHel wardens were being controlled by an unknown entity. The Elder One is probably not gonna have any major connection to Corypheus, since that would almost require Darkspawn to be involved in a major way, which we know they aren't.

there are only 2 remaining old gods, 7 in total and Urthemiel was number five. we only have razikale and lusacan left. I think you mean forbidden ones, because the forgotten ones are the dalish gods and there are tons of them.
And we have actually met all but one of The Forbidden ones now, the only one left is The Formless One. the other 3 we have encountered in the games and books. They are Imshael, Gaxkang and Xebenkeck. so the forbidden ones cant be old gods, and legend says the forgotten ones were locked away long before the old gods were, so they cant be the old gods either.
Forgive me if i mispronounced any of those.
Edit: and btw what are you talking about with the fourth blight? i know nothing of legends or rumors of the wardens being controlled by an unseen entity?

Yes the elder one is a story enigma but they wont redo a old gpd story cause wouldchave to be wardens and kill blackwall/take in the taint

And personally Corypheus would be a lame main evil, like i know he wasn't at full power but its like, oh a glorified Emissary, how fun.
Forgotten ones were dalish?

Yeah, the forgotten ones, Forbidden ones, and the creators were all from the time of Elvhenan. the only difference is the forbidden ones show up in all the cultures and we know they are real since we have killed them in the games, and met them in books,

He is only lame if you look at him alone. However his name "Corypheus" and his achievement card "The Conductor"(the literal translation of corypheus) signifies something much larger in scope.
The Conductor
The Architect
See where this is headed? Though this has nothhing to do with the Elder One. What these two Darkspawn represents is terrifying in and of its own.

Bingo! The Achievement gave me chills when I first read it.

See thats what i mean, he is a great villian, but lame god like creature. and if we want to assume the theory that the architect is actually a magister, we are probably going to get a wonderful lore filled fourth game, i just doubt we are going to see much about tevinter in this game. i think its going to be more elven lore since the inquisition is so centralized around the land once home to Elvhenan.
