Thats one the best things about gundam its generally scientifically solid with great political tones that make you think of imperialism and colonialism *inhales and exhales with glee* memories 8 years and having a full grasp of both subjects. But we've veered off topic., theories currently discussing arlathans possible role and relevance

Thats why i like code geass. because its by some of the same writers but they took some of there modern techniques to make it but kept the political stuff. very good show.

Think it is possible the Elder One is connected to Red Lyrium? Possibly it's creator or is capable of bending it to his will?

XD me and monkey had a talk about that today, i thought about what if its not a direct control but just an infection he turned on to cause more chaos, didn't need to control the red templars just give an infection to make people go crazy.

Since Tevinter Magisters had access to the eluvians and used them as communication devices pre taint. So when/did some eluvians get the taint? Was it some elven survivors that used the password to prevent magisters from using it?

It was discussed, that before Arlathan's fall, the Eluvians were all shut off very quickly. So the idea is there that They were possibly trying to Keep The Elder One out...then again I could be reading the discussion wrong.

I don't know where you got the magisters using the Eluvians. last i knew the elves locked them all away before the magisters attacked, and they weren't all tainted just one, and that gave the eluvian to defend its self against enemies. which it though the PC and whats his face,

If i remember correctly there was any a discussion that the tevinter just thought they were fancy mirrors.

The Elder One

He is Fire, he is...... Death

That would be his Dragon pet...though I guess that can apply to the Elder One as well.

Some people do. i think that's stretching it, i mean whats more likely. Elves being scared of a random god. or them wanting to turn off technology  that an enemy they are at war with and who literally at their door step, would use against them and corrupt their last passage to hide their noble class and domains that were sacred.

Shapeshifting seems to be a common skill amongst demons in the Fade as seen in the mage origin.

Since there is the possibility of a bad ending, Think the Elder One will go all "Join me, and we can rule the galaxy!" on the Inquisitor?

No because that makes it hard for a game to follow, remember in mass effect? you have the ending choice where the human military takes control of citadel space, but in ME2 those details completely disappear, and older then that we have kotor/kotor 2,

Edit: i shouldn't say no, thats mean, i just doubt they will have the ending being so solid, since that makes it harder to carry over gamers choice into the next game.

What do you think The Elder One meant when he says to the Inquisitor "You are a Mistake?" Is it possible that he simply refers to the power the Inquisitor gains? Or is it possible that he refers to all of creation as an error that he plans to correct?

even if the secret was going on before Corypheus jumped ship into a grey warden, he will have his hands in it during the DA:I campaign.

and we know this secret makes the main character of Last Flight question her loyalty to the grey warden and we don't yet know why the second in command of the Orlesian grey wardens would leave and join the inquisition. (if you don't know Blackwall was constable of the Orlesian grey wardens.)

Maybe it's about making an alliance with the Darkspawn, some of them do talk now after all and Nathaniel Howe mention Warden Allies that makes the times unusual.

judging by his god complex its probably both. That can go back the theory he's a spirit that resents that maker due to abandonment(like a child develops with a absentee parent)

I was under the impression that someone other than the Elder One said "You are a mistake." It didn't really sound like the voice throughout the rest of the trailer.

Well, Mass Effect 2 DID have a bad ending. However this ending couldn't be transfered to Mass Effect 3. It could be something similar with DA:I. Though wether or not you can join the Elder One is speculation at best.
