Here is a question, we know he has a connection to magic and lyrium, but what will his reaction be to lyrium? i mean we dont know really if we will see those two, but we knew since DA2 we would be in orlais for number 3 since they were going to head over there.

Thats one the best things about gundam its generally scientifically solid with great political tones that make you think of imperialism and colonialism *inhales and exhales with glee* memories 8 years and having a full grasp of both subjects. But we've veered off topic., theories currently discussing arlathans possible role and relevance

Gundam is never off topic :P

And Yes, Gundam makes you think of Political Strata pretty deeply most of the time, at least when it comes to the original series.

I mean is it better to believe in a nationalistic notion of how spacenoids should not be governed by those who live upon earth, or in a Federation that is ruled by the elite and wealthy, is it better to be within a dictatorship that actually cares, or a "democracy" that doesn't.

Spoiler

And folks wonder how a group of colonies that lacked the resources, population and war time military that were less then a 30th of earth's fought the Federation to a stand still :P

I think that green lady will probably remain a mystery. I wonder if it was just a benevolent spirit worship by the ancient?

I wish I had pics, but that statue is also in the 1st level of the snow-covered cathedral of Andraste in Haven. It before you enter the dragon lair and the gauntlet.

As for Sandal he could simply be a dwarf blessed (or cursed)with magic and a gift of prophecy.

The temple in haven was a Tevinter ruin before the Cult of The Maker put Andraste's ashes there. and that statue we learn from Finn that it was a Tevinter statue at a point. all i'm saying is i think that statue has no relation with the story. i think they just made a statue that looked cool and put it in places to fill up areas that were empty, like we saw that statue before Finn spoke to it.

And i was just joking about sandal anyway.

I have a feeling that the Elder One is likely a primordial spirit or man or maybe he is both, maybe he is an ancient abomination.

Anywho to the much more entertaining and relevant topic of gundam, Norris Packard, Zeonic captain in the Mobile Suit corps came up yesterday.

Awesome pilot

Zeon is eternal.

My hope for the Elder One is that he's a Spirit above regular Demons but not an Old God.

Maybe something akin to it, though.

A Sauron-powerful level creature.

And it's trying to physically enter our world like the Tevinter did the reverse.

I'd also be satisfied with Dumat, who survived the First Blight.

I hope him to be kind of like the Beast from The Magicians.

I think Dumat is a strong possibility, actually.

After all, Dumat could still grant blessings in Legacy.

It's possible that the Grey Wardens just killed its physical body and prevented from resurrecting by banishing it.

SIEG ZEON!

Spoiler

A Sauron-powerful level creature..

Eh we haven't seen anything of Sauron's caliber yet, he was a world ending event, the blights have yet to come close to what he and his master did during their struggle back in the first era.

But i get your point.

But i don't even know if demons are that strong, i mean sure there is the whole speculation about elder demons being possible dangers to the world if they came forth from the Fade, but we haven't ran into any that were remotely strong enough to be worthy of that title then.

Makes you wonder just what is lurking at the very bottom of the Fade, just how deep do those shadows run...

Lol, I don't know why but I just thought about Hollows from Bleach where the strongest/oldest Hollows live deep within their realms and don't bother crossing to the real world for the most part.

yeah it got worst but mya gave me a idea.
Mya said that he or the forgotten ones are likebthe super hollows basically spirits of hope(our equalvelnt) so what if its a corrupted spirit of hope.... a demon of nihlism if you will spirits are the most powerful spirits what if its a god equalvelent of spirits. Only goal is to breed chaos and death through the red lyrium and mortal action. We are a mistake cause we are giving hope

Whenwe think just how long the Elder One has been pulling strings, I think just as long as Flemeth. I think the Elder One was active during the time Orlais ruled Fereldan, considering Flemeth was making deals with Maric at the time. And with the rumors of Fiona in the game, I'll also wager that The Elder One also was connection to the Architect.

maric, cailen was the son just a bit of clarification.
I agree that the elder one's been pulling strings for x amount of time but how long is the question. Flemeth is at least 200 so how old is the elder one. And the architect never showed any interest in goodhood. If anything preffered to rule himself

I don't think he has direct control over people like flemeth, like flemeth sets people on paths, while i think the elder one just pushes people in the direction he wants, whispers weak spots into peoples ear, or hate into others, like let people do most of the stuff, but with a push here, and a hint there.

So could it be possible he exploited Loghain's fear and paranoia over Orlais to cause the Civil war?
