While I am not a big fan of the elder one maniputing things for over 1000 yrs. Its still a possibility. Cliche, but still possible. Whats a few millenia when you're imortal and he may go to sleep every once in a while. I'm sure he has atleast a right hand man(Ahem:Saren was to Sovereign) to do many of the manipulation, promising god hood, etc.

Orchestrating the Fall of Arlathan, manipulating magisters which subsequently taints his potential competition (Old Gods) that or maybe the Taint was an unforseen accident like the inquisitor.

If there was a time where there was no veil and ancient dragons ruled, but who ruled those dragons? Justice doesn't know of a maker.

The more I'm in this thread the more I think The Elder one is an ancient and very powerful entity. Perhaps the original Sovereign of Thedas before his eventual imprisonment?

This could tie in well with my theory. The Elder One rules Fadas (super creative hybrid of Fade and Thedas) unchallenged for however long, letting chaos consume the world. The Old Gods seal him away, possibly separating the Fade from Thedas in the process. The young races worship the Old Gods for bringing order to the world and they hibernate so that their consciousness' can keep the Black City locked. Though the Old Gods separating the Fade from Thedas may be a big stretch.

I still like to think that Justice was one of The Elder One's agents. His task being going into the Mortal world and prepare it for his arrival. Of course it would have to be convincing least no one suspects his. Act like he didn't want to be there, and once he got to Anders, he would push Anders to kick start the conflict. And either Anders is dead or not, Justice's purpose was served.

My guess is that he's essentially an uber-Pride Demon. A Demon of Audacity, or even Hubris.

Also moonlights as a Demon of Kitten kicking.

The Elder One's also known as "The Killer of Dreams". Partially because he's a Demon of Business Affairs.

I doubt he's a pride demon, since we deal with them on a regular basis. Also, one orchestrated the whole Grand Cleric coup in Orlais if you watched Dawn of the Seeker.

We dont know that. and we shouldn't we use dawn of the seeker as examples, since that movie some how took place after the events of kirkwall yet cassandra was still sent there to find out what happened in kirkwall. I'm just saying we shouldn't use something that fails to meet canon as examples.

Dawn of the Seeker takes place 8 years before the Fifth Blight. :\

Yes, Dawn of the Seeker occurred in 9:22 Dragon. When the Templar commander references Kirkwall in the movie, he is actually referring to Perrin Threnhold's attempts to oust the Templars from the city.

ITS SUPPOSED TO. but the Knight-Divine says to cassandra when she asks him why they are doing this he says "I'm not going to let another incident like Kirkwall happen." I know when its supposed to take place, i know the lore, that movie doesn't know its own lore.

When is that mentioned? not the history i mean when is it mention that the Knight-Divine is doing because of Perrin.

Rewatched the game play video of the battle with Alexius. He seemed reluctant to do what we was doing. Which makes me wonder. Did he just loose hope and sided with the Elder One because he thinks there is no victory? Or was this just another exploitation from the Elder One making him feel despair? How does he get the Venatori to do his bidding? From what I've read they are a Tevintir Cult who worships him and thats about all I got...any reference to the Venatori in Asunder or ME?

As far as I know he wasn't mentioned in the novels or any other DA media.

But the motivation for why he worships the Elder one, seems quite clear he son was dead or dying and the Elder One keeps Felix alive at least that's how I see it in the demo which gives him not much choice then to do what the Elder ones wants him to do or else The Elder One could cut the life line Felix has right now and which is something Alexius really doesn't want to happen.

Again keeping someone alive seems god-like. So it gives credance to being of spirit/fade origin

Did you just completely ignore the post below mine? It's talking about when the viscount had the Knight-Commander killed.

No i didn't ignore. i asked him when that was mentioned. because that was never mentioned in the movie. and beatrix iii didn't cause the viscount to attack the templars except for threatening him to obey the chantry. and she even condemned the action of the kirkwall guard. so tell me why the Knight-Divine would want to kill the lady who tried to make the viscount obey?

He would probably possess someone more competent, then. Like the person who just finished killing him.

If you posess someone (as in completely overriding her/his mind with your own) then it doesn't f*cking matter how competent they were before the posession, because they no longer exist as soon as you replace them.

And if they still exist in the back of your (new) head and you have to actively keep them out of control you wouldn't choose someone competent because it would be harder to surpress them.

Did you  miss the posession-class of the evil overlord school for dastardly villains?

Not really. You still have their body, which is where all their power, strength, agility, magic  comes from.

No, but since you made up the curriculum, completely disregarding all DA has to say on the subject, I don't think I really need to.

What you asked made no sense. They're preventing anything similar from happening again. You know, when nobility tried to throw out the Chantry's army. When the church was threatened. It's not that hard.

What i asked made no sense? it was clear cut, When was Perrin mentioned during the movie? never. That movie is inconsistent plain and simple.

Ugh. The example you keep trying to call out is when Perrin is mentioned. When talking about Kirkwall, they are talking about this. They are not talking about 9:37 Dragon. They are not talking about the Circle rebelling. They are talking about this situation.
