It isn't in Val Royaux, but in the token snowy landscape territory. Red Lyrium has burst through the surface and infested the land. Can't remember the name of the territory atm.

Wait the snowy place from the pictures they released with the templar slaver camp thing?

I'm pretty sure the area is called Emprise du lion.

Because that place red lyrium has showed up and its incredibly snowy.

I got a pic of it

Well in the article it says it came from the red templars, so i dont know if this puts a check in that theory quite yet.

We really dont know what the motives of the red templars are after they become red templars, i mean how do you become ok with working with some of those red lyrium creatures? so their goals might be completely different than we expect. also it might have not even been red templars at the peace summit. when the devs talk about the factions, they never say templars and red templars in the same group. so there very much might be a third faction in the MT war, fighting against both,

And my mage isolationist policy is further affirmed. Anyway maybe they are inline with the elder one but it seems too obvious hmm

They dont have to be consciously aware of it. i mean we saw with bartand that he forcefully wanted his servant to hear the song and made them eat raw lryium, so they could just be acting on that, everyone who isn't under the influence they try to force feed them. we have also seen them taking slaves so they might be forcing people to mine it up so they can then feed it to people.

It might not even be comnected to the elder one and its just a sad tale happening at the same time.

My guess is the Normal Templars just want to end the War and get back to the way things were. Red Templars I'll wager are going for full on Mage Genocide. And I'll wager they have a method of looking at non-mage people and determine if their lineage has magical potential and then kill them if they find any.

So the Sentinels of the Dragon age universe pretty much?

I think it would be a kinda nice Dark jump, Yes we have the elder one who we must defeat, but then we would have this group, devoid of morale, who are completely tempted by this hardcore substance, and are just evil. not born evil like the darkspawn, but just this kind of a dark righteous evil.

I dont mind blood magic too much nor lyrium used by templars cause those are choices but force feeding lyrium, red lyrium thats too much just pure human evil

I mean give me a reason why else they would be gathering slaves? They aren't going to trust them with blacksmithing. they are there only to mine lyrium, so if they have a way of course they would help red lyrium grow in lands.

i would guess a holy war draft(vietnam) to fight magi but instead of being the moral high grounder(arguably) they become the monsters they fear

He helped turn the Golden City black and now he wants out to take over the world, only to come out a old man at death's door. The Inquisitor was only pushed into the Fade so he could switch bodies.

But then why such a schism between templars and red templars? why such a difference when ever they have talked about them and why haven't we seen regular templars taking slaves, or haven't heard about red templars joining the Inquisition like mage's and regular templars can? i think its far far worse then moral high ground...

Maybe once it was a moral high ground and they thought it was a necessary, that they needed it to fight mage's but now its far from that.
