I was reading Until We Sleep. The main viallian said, to paraphrase "The magisters were so close! They needed blood of Great Dragons, bla bla, I now have power of the gods!.....shape reality to what I want....Fade is magic!"He was also using a device that Tevinter dreamers use to control minds of others.I'm do believe that at the very least the Elder One has a lacky that wants god like abilities. Maybe he's the one we hear speaking in the trailer? Maybe the elder gets unleashed near the end, or never.Also, Lamberts friend was a magister that wanted to reform Tevinter and the black chantry. As soon as he was MADE the next (current) archon he became corrupt. It definitely seems someone is atleast controlling the minds of others.

this give points to a dreamer is behind or is abedding. But we know little of dreamers aside they can affect reality

Also i have to say its amazing to me that the whole Fallow Mire area in the Gamescon/Pax Prime (I am so mad i moved away from Seattle) demo was just for side quests. well maybe there was a story mission there but of what we saw it was all side questing

I wonder why he calls himself and dorian a failure? Both were reformers against Tevinter status quo. Maybe that's it? He knew the elder one was gonna come and tried his best to stop it but failed miserably.

Everything was meaningless so he decided to join the elder ones crew for....reasons?

The main reason why he join the Elder One is because of his son Felix who, if you have watched the Redcliff demo, is far from looking good.

I know he and Dorian made a pendant that may help opening or closing veils. Or that pendant is similar to Flemeths?

No we might have something here. how did flemeth return to the world? was it just in the amulet or was that soul in the fade so she could get out? if so that would explain how during the redcliff demo they are physically in the fade.

 

Ill admit it was a stretch, but i just don't see how we can physically be in the fade, because just the event at the begining of the game with the inquisitor is supposed to be incredibly hard to happen.

possibly.. but this makes me remember somthing.

it appears he betrayed the elder one. And its probaby a ability the elder one gives. Most magic can be taught

Possible he had change of heart once he saw Felix condition. Alexius looks and sounds like a man that lost everything and is desperate. Being a magister perhaps he joined the venatori in order to save/revive his son.

Obviously he didn't turn out right. They said that who we choose could affect the consequences. Lelianna killed Felix, thus promting a battle. If we do something different then maybe we could choose a diplomatic way as to not get Alexium battle?

Don't quote me, but when they were doing that thing with the amulet Dorian says it'll take longer since Alexius is dead.
