All im saying is. that must mean to use magic. you must be connected to the fade or use a substance connected to the fade like lyrium. which then explains why templars have magic like abilities or red templars turn into Abominations. Now im curious if demons can travel with lyrium. like what if red lyrium is just like a veil tear in itself. not exactly like one. but how would you explain these abomination unless they are actually possessed by demons? I mean the answer might be different once we play the game.

lets roll with this :)
If red lyrium is a solid tear and not only mutates mundanes but makes them more attractive to demons. Now keep up with me it gets wierd; we know RL mutates mundanes into monster now the guys are still in their rihht minds just focused on the MT war and war in general. Now if by x amount of time and carnage the RL may open a mini tear allowing a spirit to bond with a RT creating a behemoth. This creature has all the str of a RT but doubled but for some reason the red abomination is controllable.

It is a very curious thing. since we know we will be seeing red lyrium. and lyrium obviously give magical power even if just minimal. and we saw in DA2 that mundanes(a word i hate) can become abomination with the help of blood magic. and jowan said that in da:O he could send you to the fade with blood magic. or use a large amount of lyrium. showing that with enough lyrium you could probably turn Mundanes into abomination just like blood magic.

The only difference. red lyrium is much more powerful.

@Kieran G.:  I think it clearly can't be understood as "Non-magic."  I think it actually consumes mana... as in, mages standing around a red lyrium golem may actually find their magic doesn't work.

Not because it nullifies magic - but because it actually consumes it.

I'd actually like red lyrium to be a natural response to the weakening of the Veil.

no too simple... lets break it down. Anti= against, opposite, to oppose. Now add magic to it. In theory this would be the equalvelent to cortiss from starwars where some refinements shut off lightsabres. But instead of shuting down magic users it gives non-magi magic like powers that are currently unknown how to affect magic and its users.

Wait lets go with this here. you're saying it consumes the mana. that could in theory give answer to the red templars if the red lyrium is sucking in powers from the fade and they are turning into these monster because instead of consuming mage's magic they are consuming demon's magic.

explains the mutation. Mage magic is easy to adapt but demon magic is alien in a sense. I like nox can we keep em?

So assuming that the Inquisitor's Evil copy isn't the Elder One, anyone have their own vision of what he looks like?

So that green figure the Inquisitor meet in the fade and possible gets their power from, do you guys think it could be Felmeth's in disguise?

I think it's the power of the Lyrium in the Temple of Sacred Ashes, mixed with all of the Andrastian manifestations there and whatever trace was left of Andraste in her Ashes, all released with the Fade explosion and coalesced in some way into something that likely believes itself to be Andraste.

I don't know if it has been discussed, but can the elder one be the remote Creator that David mentioned before?

Maybe old gods encouraged humanity to destroy Arlathan because the forgotten elven religion holds the secret weapon that can destroy the elder one's plan?

So the Dalish mage (Performing some ritual when Morrigan stands behind him) in the latest trailer is actually side with us. That makes sense right?

The Creator is the Maker's name pre-Andraste. And it seems unlikely the Elder one would ask the Inquisitor 'where is your Maker now?' when he is the Maker. That being said he's already a known asswipe, so possibly.

He is the Creator, not Andraste's Maker, he is older than the Maker, he is the maker of dragons, of old gods, the maker of the mysterious age that Yavana once said.

  • (to Alistair) Your heart beats with the old blood, as well. Where do you think it comes from? It sings of a time when dragons ruled the skies. A time before the Veil, before the mysteries were forgotten. Can you hear it?"

Alistair is a Gray Warden, he can hear the song of Old Gods.

Isn't Andraste's Maker supposed to be one and the same with the Creator the Tevinter believed in?

I mean...

So when Andraste showed up much, much later, she was advocating a return to the "rightful" worship of the Maker... it was not a belief that came out of nowhere.

That quote does say "return".

The fact that there could be false rumors about him or his actions doesn't change who these false rumors or actions are being attributed to.

Old Tevinter believed in the Old Gods, new Tevinter believe in the Maker now, officially anyway.

One of the things I notice in trailers is the big horned Dragon seems to have this green breath in one of the trailers.

Maybe it from the fade and connects with the Inquisitor and basically becomes his/her personal guardian and that makes the Elder One (and because of the special power the Inquisitor have) recruit a dragon or two to try and kill the Inquisitor, but because of the Guardian dragon it fails most of the time.

Well it does match the concept art of the inquisitor touching a dragon. and the scene does look kind of mind melding.

Both of these are concept art for the game and both don't show the inquisitor trying to kill them

I also remember in one of the other trailers there is a battle the dragon lands up on a tower and a bridge collapses and the inquisitor apparently falls down with it and holds out his hand, maybe to call the dragon to save him?
