Well the Elder One do act like the Elder God with the God complex, if he also looks like a giant squid then he must be related to the Elder God.

random event personally cause if he did have a hand in current affairs i doubt he would allowed a elf gain wild card magic(the eluvian)

Briala was Empress Celenes lover, hand maiden, and spy master. She is a city elf but trained by a dalish elf dreamer. Felassan. Through different events they meet a Forbidden one who gives them a key to activate the entire eluvian network. at the height of the duel that puts Grand Duke Gaspard against Empress Celenes champion, she takes the key stone and activates the network giving it a pass phrase only she knows. her then plan is to give these pass codes to elves she believes can be trusted and to help elves where ever they are. and to kinda use them against which ever side is winning the civil war.

And she is doing this because she found out Empress Celene as a girl had assassins kill her parents to make sure nobody found out about her succession to the throne of orlais.

 

I should also mention Empress Celene has done a lot for the elves when it comes to education. but a rebelion in Halamshiral caused her to send troops in and kill hundreds of rebeling elves.

she was adark skinned elf who was celenes lover and spimaster she ends up aquiring a phrase that unlocks the eluvian net, and at the end she has a fallout with celene and starts a rebellion during celene and gaspards civil war

Ah...so she is the cause of the Elf Rebellion then? I guess the Elder One may have influenced that, but from the sound of it, I doubt it.

She didn't really cause the rebellion. that happened on its own. she just betrayed Celene. she isn't exactly evil, she's a bit idealistic and emotional but she is more looking to use this for gorilla warfare and to move supplies and if be a mass migration of elves. and she isn't too friendly with the dalish. 

 

I should also tell you Felassan taught her many things and told her many stories to help her make decisions but he was also a very powerful Dalish Dreamer who was speaking to what people believed a great spirit. be it a ancient elven Dreamer. Fen'Harel. The Formless One. or the Elder One it self. what ever it is, he purposely opposed its plans and didn't give it the key phrase to activate the Eluvians.

 

Edit: Also he knows the breach is coming.

I don't need to. I can make a thread like "I am part of X group and I demand this game pander to me. And if you disagree even remotely you are a intolerant bigot." That will cause some Fire works...but I will say no more and get back on Topic.

i would love us to have a game about Dwarven lore and stuff. but i feel like the next is going to be very heavy on elves culture and future.

 

Instead of a super evil creature. the enemy will probably be an organization or country.
