This isn't Loghain or Arishock. i dont think they should make the evil beyond time a "sympathetic" villain. maybe a villain you can agree with but not sympathetic.

Consider the level of power and manipulation I don't think we are dealing with a pride demon of any kind since that seems way beyond they are cable off.
It must be something bigger and more powerful then anything we have encountered before.

I didn't say anything about something greater than Pride, but Arrogance is certainly a form of Pride and interviews about the Elder One have certainly emphasized his arrogance to the point of calling him arrogance rather than merely arrogant.

It's probably bigger and more powerful than any other Pride Demon we've seen, and also much, much older. It likely has a unique set of experiences and knows more about things than most Demons.
Chances are that it recalls a time before the Veil and seeks a return to that time.
Him being just a Pride Demon doesn't necessarily take much away from how much of a Pride Demon he can be. The Architect and Corypheus are just Darkspawn. Special Darkspawn, but still just Darkspawn.

Whatever the case, I'm assuming he's one of the first Demons and maybe even pre-veil.
His plans are certainly tied to the most arrogant possible action of setting oneself up as God, but they also seem aimed at undoing the creation of the veil.

I really hope its not just some powerful version of one of the demon classes. we fight enough of those and see enough of those. we've seen enough demon lords, and none of them have had any real character. so i really hope we get something more than just a demon that is only arrogant

Well, as I previously stated, I expect it to be just a Pride Demon in the same way that the Architect is just a Darkspawn Emmisary.

The difference with the architect is he is self aware which darkspawn aren't. if you can tell me how a Demon of arrogance is different from a demon of pride, anger, or desire besides the obvious different emotion. go ahead and tell me. otherwise its just another demon lord.

It really just needs unique experiences and motivations alongside the rest.
None of the other Demon Lords really had any focus or more complicated motives. They just got in and fucked around with people.
The Elder One, on the other hand, is trying something much more complex with a much more distinct purpose. It's trying to tear down the Veil.

This is what i've seen of elven statues or symbols so far
Ok. in the A World Unveiled Trailer there seems to be a wolf statue at 2:26 but that could easily be something different.
In Discover The Dragon Age trailer. at :53 there seems to be a statue to the elven god Ghilan'nain or might just be a statue of a halla.
In Lead them or Fall more elven statues Of a halla.
And i've watched all the trailers except for the demo's so far.

And we have seen fear in the multiplayer trailer so we can guess he is just going to be a mini boss like a pride demon will be.

We have seen them both, Despair is the one with a lot teeth (it was in one of the trailers) and Fear is the one with the dreadlocks.
