So...
What do we know about the Venatori?
All I know is that it's Latin for "Hunters".

Just a cult that serves The Elder One.
Do what I say and you live and or get power.

Yes, but what does that have to do with being a hunter? What are they hunting?

Artifacts that offer power? Threats to the Elder One's plans? What the Elder One considers Heresy considering he fancies himself a God?

Maybe, but that did give me the thought that being "Hunters" sort of reminds me of "Seekers" and the Inquisition itself.
Like maybe they're the Elder One's own Inquisition type of organization.

Does it make him sympathetic? At most it gives him an organization loosely mirroring your own.
Now, I do wonder where his main base of operations will happen to be located, or where his final boss fight will play out.
Maybe the Temple where it all began? Maybe in the Fade itself?
Or maybe...
Right at the gates of the Black City, which you fight to prevent him from opening?

Now that I think about it, with the Fade Tears going on, he might try to bring the City to Thedas so he can access it that way.
Or he might not give a damn about the City.

I can see him claiming Val Royeaux as his fortress near the climax and we have to fight him there.

How do you think the battle will go
Fully rallied Inquisition Army plus Allies charging the Elder One's fortress. A high mortality rate, but choices should negate some of the losses, Inquisitor sneaks into Elder One's Strong Hold to confront him while the rest of your companions are fighting the Elder One's Armies.

Sounds about right.
Though I do wonder what the Elder One actually looks like. We've not actually seen any sign of that, except my stupid suggestion that he's possessing the "real you" and that you're some sort of Fade Doppelganger or displaced spirit of the original character, destined to fade away after the last Veil Tear is closed.

I would like a multiple phase battle. He has some Dragon Form or something you fight that takes the help of your party, and for the grand finish, he has a smaller body than the Inquisitor can go One on One with.

I don't think the elder one has anything to do with the golden/black/eternal city really. like i don't think the story is going to have anything to do with it. herald of Andraste or not. i think we are still going to just see it from a distance.
I think the dev's are going to keep the city ambiguous still, since we know unlike mass effect trilogy there are more games coming out in this saga.

If he not connected to the city(s) and possibly not a fade denizen the only idea is a mortal with seriously powerful magic. But the venatori worship him as a god so imo it jas to be a flemeth like abomination(not yin-yang) theory). Abominations can live for x amount of time

I never said he wasn't connected to the fade. i just said i don't think the city will have to do with the game.
