true perhaps arthalen is in the mirrors or maybe its a prison that when activated let something loose or at least weakend the barrier

I believe arlathan is definitely a city in thedas. but was eaten by the earth. while Celene and Gaspard were traveling through i believe every time they came back to the real world they were just in another part of the Elvhenan empire. and the final spot where all those mirrors were was actually in Arlathans itself. i mean wouldn't you keep something like that in your capitol?

Considering it was a sealed in chamber, i doubt we will ever know unless if the mirrors become a bigger plot point then i think they will.

We know Briala is in the story. so maybe we will get some side quests. and we know Morrigan uses a Eluvian at some point. and we see an elf in a location that looks like the concept art which is name Arlathan. so i think we are at least going to see a little bit of it.

And we know the spirit/demon/dreamer who killed/possessed felassan wanted to give him the code to activate them.

Well one legend says that heaven became a prison.

Another says Heaven became tainted

And first hand account said it was already black.

Then you can go off of what others say about the surroundings of the city.

Demon never go near it.

No islands drift towards it.

You can always see it from any point within the fade.

There is no clear way to reach it.

I wonder if the Magisters open the veil in a special place so they could reach the golden city. or maybe you have to physically be in the fade to reach it.

the inq was crawling in the fade so i guess its possible for one has to be pyschically in the fade

Maybe. A thin veil/tear can alow spirits and demons into the world briefly. Perhaps the opposite is true, but it'll require certain criteria to be met?

We know its possible since the dev's said in a interview when the breach happens we physically enter the fade which isn't supposed to happen, or at least is very rare.

The only way for demons/spirits to get inside a living mage is via agreement on the weak willed mages part. Perhaps the opposite is true, but spirits/demons know better. Or , maybe it just doesn't benefit either parties to think of.

Thats not the only way. they can also posses the dead and no agreement can be made there

All it takes is for the demons to consume its will. you can make an agreement. but you can also just accidentally let a demon in. or do some magic which opens a way for a demon to posses you.

And we know demons can posses anything. even cats. and i don't think cats are in the fade. other wise we would see cats with magic.

The breach proves you can enter the worlds physically. be it demon or Human. we probably wont see as many abominations this game.

One things for sure, Tevinter has been experimenting with the Veil since after the magisters did it.

Aeonar was magical research facility when a group of Andraste followers stumbled and kill the mages there while they were in the fade.

Then there is Kirkwall with its giant rune+blood sacrifices= purposely thining the veil.

There are probably more intact in Tevinter.

Well we also know they do a lot of work with dreamers. considering the DA comics.

Probably not. it seems kinda simple. crude even. only the mask of fen'harel is really a mysterious. its small but powerful enough to rip the veil. but the magister just use crude blood magic. so it probably is just a certain type of rune with enough lyrium or blood to rip the veil. but i think the elder one does it a bit differently. but i've never felt he is doing it gracefully but instead forcing the veil to tear.

That's where Solas comes into play. Apparently, he can look into the past by going to a place with a thin veil and sleeping. He can experience the memories of people who were once there, kinda like a video recording.

He plays other people's savegames on his Dreamcast.
