yeah we saw that in Dawn of The Seeker and Origins.
What i'm curious is if they have the mind of the Mabari what's happening here.
and the concept art seems like he is training it.Spoiler
If we get to tame, train and ride goddamn dragons in this game, I'm... not sure I'm going to have enough spare time to close rifts.

Do you think he is trying to kill it? or ride it?

If we get to train and ride goddamn dragons, then what do you think we'll be fighting against atop one of those massive beasts?
What is strong enough to fight you while you're riding a Dragon?

I don't really think we would ride it so much as have a dog of war to call in.

Think they will give the Elder One a bit of Dark Comedy as well? Being so arrogant I would imagine he would have time for such things .

Who are you going to fight with a pet War Dragon?
Really, that doesn't address the point that Dragons are pretty powerful, and that it takes a team of heroes to defeat one.
So, what can fight a Dragon and a team of heroes working together?

I imagine the Elder One killing the Dragon at some point "Oh I'm sorry that was your pet wasn't it?"

No.
That's the thing.
A Dragon can fight another Dragon by itself. As can a band of Heroes.
What exists that you need both to fight?

wisea** answer: the elder one duh:)Who are you going to fight with a pet War Dragon? Really, that doesn't address the point that Dragons are pretty powerful, and that it takes a team of heroes to defeat one. So, what can fight a Dragon and a team of heroes working together?
Actual answer: something of great power that has enough pull to control x power level and x amount of demons. While we as players can breeze through them most cant. The law of attrion would apply;every one we kille we lose five. Our forces would take severe casualities. Having a blue eyes white dragon in play with a inquisitor card as back up evens the odd

Ah, but my questions serve a purpose.
Dragons are very useful for all of those things, but there's not much point unless the enemy has the tools to handle your Dragon.
Of course, it's possible that the enemy just has more dragons. I mean, that one trailer did have a dragon tackle another dragon.

Perhaps im not understanding your point: what are you asking exactly * curious gaze mixed with intriue*

True the only thing cab say that equates a dragon is a fade being/dragonkin/group of hunters.

I'm suggesting that our enemy is probably going to be really ****** powerful if we need Dragons.
We never needed Dragons before.

Well cassandra did in dots so pride demons can warrant them but i see you point now thank you
Well, that can happen.
But the main point is this. If we can have Dragons, chances are they won't turn the game into easymode.
As such, it means that our opponents must be that much more powerful that they're still challenging even with a Dragon.

Also a battalion can probably take a dragon down. like if a High Dragon was to attack a keep it would probably cause a lot of damage but a good lightning bolt or Ballista shot to the wing would bring it down. and with a Ballista you could easily bring down a dragon with a large wing span so i wouldn't say dragons are really that big of a danger on their own. i mean they are the apex predator. but in reality look at humans. we were far from the apex but innovated to win. so they would probably do the same to any dragon.
Bring it down, then cut it down.

reign of fire kinda disproves that lol(mediocre film)Also a battalion can probably take a dragon down. like if a High Dragon was to attack a keep it would probably cause a lot of damage but a good lightning bolt or Ballista shot to the wing would bring it down. and with a Ballista you could easily bring down a dragon with a large wing span so i wouldn't say dragons are really that big of a danger on their own. i mean they are the apex predator. but in reality look at humans. we were far from the apex but innovated to win. so they would probably do the same to any dragon. Reign of Fire does prove it. remember how they would kill them? put ropes around it and bring it to the ground.
And yes it was a mediocre film.

I certainly hope that isn't the case. I want my soldiers to be competent and not useless!

most of the cast died.... so forced lolReign of Fire does prove it. remember how they would kill them? put ropes around it and bring it to the ground. And yes it was a mediocre film.
it adds a sense of heroism to be the only competant one lol but from the trailers it seems that we are on even footing(aside from x hiccups)I certainly hope that isn't the case. I want my soldiers to be competent and not useless!

Dragon are powerful, yes. But lets not overestimate them too much. The pentaghasts are skilled dragon hunters.
Riordan probably used a dragon hunting tech to try to kill the Archdemon. The high dragon of a dragon cult was killed with a small (?) army.
