Well our early theories were a greater pride demon... let go back if it is a aspect of pride it would explain his god complex. But i ask what is greater than pride. If one believes in catholism pride is one of there worst sins... so what is greater than one pride
I still won't rule out Lovecraftian Horrors who sees everyone and everything as insignificant.

I think we've already dealt with a greater pride demon - the Baroness. Left to her own devices, she could indeed have flooded the world with demons. The Elder One seems bigger than that, however.
crap, just realized that after you said it. The quote implies "greater" pride demon - however, I agree the Elder One will be bigger than that as you pointed out.

Well remember at the end of the E3 demo you hear the elder one coming right before you go into the portal home, maybe you have to go back there for leliana and who you leave behind.

I'm guessing that Dragon is just another pet for the Elder One to use against us. His own attack dog if you will.

As I've stated before, I like to think that the High Dragon that live in out world are smart enough to recognize that this threat affects them as well.

new thought if the fade tear can alter the enviroment due to the breach the area in question will take on fade like qualities( green skies, surreal warp enviros.) So that scene be redcliff suffering from fade corruption(trademarked) and that fight between blue-eyes and red-eyes happens in the real worldWell here is a question, how did i get into that fade area?

Blue eyes and red eyes? I'm gonna sound like a massive geek when I ask...but is that referencing the Blue eye white Dragon and the Red eyes back dragon from the Children's trading card game taking too seriously by adults? ![]()

well thet expand on this idea that the fade warps reality which may give credit to our dreamer theory what does that have to do with alexius's amuletYeah. well we have definitely thought some things up these past 2 days

Well maybe it worked some how like a keystone for the Eluvians. but here is a question, Redcliffe castle in someway was in the fade, but how are they all there? you aren't supposed to be able to physically enter the fade (which is why the Inquisitor is different) so either when the breach swallows an area you are able to physically be in the fade, or they are somewhere different then the fade. maybe they are in the veil it self, which would be easier to get in and out of.
But what kind of item would give you the power to physically get you there? it would have to be some serious magic(blood magic perhaps)

well if the breach sunders the veil i would assume some areas of massive death or magical energies will merge with the fade and will be part dreamrealm and waking realm furthering this elder one's goal of godhood. And for the magic used blood magic can summon demons, and tear the veil, but what if its dreamer magic that is able to be used by everyday(powerful) mages.Well maybe it worked some how like a keystone for the Eluvians. but here is a question, Redcliffe castle in someway was in the fade, but how are they all there? you aren't supposed to be able to physically enter the fade (which is why the Inquisitor is different) so either when the breach swallows an are you are able to physically be in the fade, or they are somewhere different then the fade. maybe they are in the veil it self, which would be easier to get in and out of if you're in it. Hmm, I'm just more trying to get my head wrapped around them Physically being in the fade, because aren't you supposed to lose yourself in the fade if your mind isn't somewhere safe?
I mean with all the talk about dreamers, there must be something to do with them in DA:I so i think we are going to learn a lot more about the fade itself.
Wait! remember leliana's line during the demo? "Nobody should have this much power." was she saying that because they can shoot lightning? or because they were able to bring Redcliffe into the fade? or something like that. because she has seen magic, but this magic made her disgust mage's.

of course lelianna has seen mage fight her wynn, morrigan, and the hero of fereldan(my canon using as example) shes seen the good and bad hell even the tge sacred ashes are magical to some extent. So it has to be some form of dreamer magic that can manipulate the breach. Bring the material realm with the fade, last time someone entered the fade corperally we got cory and the worst the inq got was a ghost hand(so far). Quick more examples my head is swimming in theoriesHmm, I'm just more trying to get my head wrapped around them Physically being in the fade, because aren't you supposed to lose yourself in the fade if your mind isn't somewhere safe? The Elder One is an elven dreamer from the ancient empire awoken in the Fade to wreak havoc upon Thedas. Due to it's hyper-saturated Fade existence - it can no longer walk in the real world - so it must overlap the two so that it can invade Thedas.

So they have to be using some kind of extremely powerful magic. that completely warps the fade. and maybe the amulet isn't so much as a door then it is a on off switch. maybe they were trying to bring the castle back to the world instead of just get the inquisitor out.

That would make since who's been training and telling Felassan stories, and who maybe possessed him.
