Even more possible.
kieran my friend you might have stumbled in creepy elf **** but you might have just solved who the elder one is imo
Fen'Harel is a time traveling Mabari.
Yeah dogs are supposed to fend off the dread wolf but that looks more like a wolf to me than a dog. but they also show a wolf/dog statue in the trailer there at :57
And i Think it is the Dales. at least it looks like it to me. or at least it looks like its in the Orlais region.
Whats the geographical description of the dales... im onto something
Well the dales are supposed to be like a valley, has lots of forest area but also long plains that are farmed on. mostly by human villages not Elven.

It could be the Exalted Plains.
Funny thing about Ferelden they used to be very close to wolves before they got their dogs.
It's from the old Origins game guide :
"Culture within each tribe consisted of a worship of animist deities, with a strong connection to the wolf in the lowland tribes. Alamarri folklore states that the wolf was a companion to mankind, created by the gods as guide and protector against the darker forces in the unknown world. Wolves were bred by the tribes and paired with their warriors, and the death of an honored wolf was treated with as much respect and significance as the death of one of their own. So, too, is the werewolf mythos tied to these beliefs. Varying legends tell of a wolf that betrayed his human masters to evil gods in exchange for a human shape. The resulting man-wolf attempted to live among mankind but discovered he was still a beast at heart and ended up being exiled to the forest. Welcome in neither world, he carried a hatred for the true men and true wolves. Regardless of how much of this tale is true, werewolves did exist and were the bane of the Alamarri existence for many centuries until they were almost entirely wiped out when the various tribes finally united to defeat their common foe."
The part about werewolves myth reminds me a bit of the Dread Wolf ,who didn't fit in with the Creators and the Forgotten Ones.
There's also the story about Dane and the werewolf , when they exchanged bodies for a year...It doesn't get into details about how things went but it ends with
"But some things cannot be repent,
Some coinage cannot be unspent, When hearts are wagered, a fissure rent"

Yeah i just don't think the Avvar or Alamarri could build something like that statue in the picture. so i think it has to be Elven.
And with all the wolf imagery and how manipulating people against eachother is Fen'Harel M.O. It just makes me think he is the Elder One.
That wolf is a pecuilar being
I really don't want to write my fen'harel theory all over again ![]()
simply musing aloud. Im like mordin;audiotory learner. Must say though its the best fenharael theory ive heard lol.I really don't want to write my fen'harel theory all over again
Wow, I need to lookup more lore from other religions in thedas. With the help of dwarve the Avvar were able to make the circle tower pre tevinter occupation. The Alamarri/Avvar do have a side quest. So maybe the wolf could've been made them?
Here's a picture of a fan'harel statue/altar

Maybe, but none the less. we are seeing a lot of wolves. also that's from redemption right?
And also redemption showed us the mask of fen'harel which could open the veil.
At least in my mind things are stacking up that Its Fen'Harels who is doing all these things.
I think it more likely that Fen'Harel would be working against the Elder One. The old legend states that he was the cause of the gods being cut off from the mortal world, which is why people often equate him with the Maker. The Elder One seems to be trying to break back in, so far more likely to be one of the Forgotten Ones or even one of the Creators. Elg'annan (spelling probably wrong) the elven creator god of vengeance seems like the type who wouldn't care what damage he did so long as he could gain his revenge. Fen'Harel on the other hand seems to have far more fun with the other gods out of the way, so would have no incentive to tear down the Veil. He would, however, have a motivation to help the Inquisitor, if only indirectly. Any god shut away by his actions is going to be out to get him and his followers.

The only thing there is we know from story Fen'Harel excels at turning people against each other so he can get the upper hand.
That he has a mask named after him which rips the Veil which makes me think he has that power too.
If we interpret the legend of Fen'Harel the Creators are locked in The Eternal City(Golden city), While the Forgotten Ones are locked in The Abyss (Underground)
And look at this passage, "only Fen'Harel could walk without fear among both our gods and the Forgotten Ones" And with that passage i think the Creators were only in the Fade and the Forgotten Ones only in Thedas. and Fen'Harel had the power to open the Veil and walk with both, that's why they saw him as kin.
And i doubt they are going to confirm the existence of the Creators. since at least with Fen'Harel you can say he isn't a god just a great spirit and the legend just formed around him.
What ever is in the Black City i think is going to stay in the black city for a couple of games.

Wouldn't calling Fen'Harel just a powerful spirit sort of contradict Elven religious beliefs? Or would he still qualify as a God?
That's the main issue I foresee with using a being like Fen'Harel. It would be confirming an Elven Deity. At worst it would be killing an Elven Deity.
If the Old Gods are really the Forgotten Ones, that would mean you've just confirmed that half of the Elven Gods definitely existed. The only question left in that case would be, "What the **** is in that magic Dream City?"
Of course, it is a city, so there could be many things in that place. Were the Elven Creators even said to have created the Golden City? How does this all fit in with the city turning black?
Did Fen'Harel lock the Creators away in a place they did not previously frequent? I heard Fen'Harel said there was a magic sword in there, and if they all lived in the Eternal City they probably would have known that was bullshit. They might also even know that they could be locked in?
Is it possible that Fen'Harel locked the Creators in with something that was already there?
Like keeping more evil being inside?
Maybe.
It's possible that Fen'Harel thought the City was empty. But if the Elven Gods normally lived in that city, Fen'Harel could have just told everyone to have a meeting at home instead of making up an elaborate story about them having forgotten about a superweapon in their basement.
So, I don't think the Elven Creators created the Golden City any more than they created the world. But Cities are always very obviously intelligently designed things that don't just occur in nature, so it's worth assuming that something lived there.
Well, there are also different variations of the myth that would lead to very different interpretations...
But it's entirely possible that the Elven Creators were locked in the Golden City with a previous inhabitant of its, which could go many different ways depending on exactly what it was that they were locked in with. Of course, the City is Black now, isn't it?
If it's the same city, either the Elven Gods have become warped and twisted themselves, or Fen'Harel trapped inside of a terrifying Nightmare city with something that's warped and twisted, and that's the way it's been for thousands of years. Especially if the place was always Black as some believe.
Even if it was once Golden and pleasant, it's certainly not that way anymore, and the Elven Gods don't seem to have escaped.
In a time when the Fade and Thedas were one wouldn't it be possible people at that time make their thoughts/dreams a reality?
In other words, imagination+physical materials+ power/alot of mana= creation?
