I guess we'll see if DA:I becomes a great game or simply a good game (I really doubt it becomes anything less then those two).

Now the Elder One it will be interesting to see what he is, so far he could be a Dragon or some sort giant spider kind of creature, if we go by the enemy of Thedas trailer.

Then again it might be something else (at least it can't be the Warden).

Or...

The Elder One could look exactly like us. That would be fun.

Or some sort of wolf, but I like the idea that he would look like us.

I think we should talk about that spirit lady. and the explosion.

we don't know if the Elder One caused it, or the Venatori, but we know it has to do with the breach.

We know we are sent in the fade because of it, and so are we the only ones sent into the fade or are we the only ones who were able to get out.

If the Spirit opened the tear to get us back to thedas what kind of spirit is she with that much power?

Is she a spirit of Andraste because of all the lyrium surrounding her ashes and if so is that why we are called the herald of andraste?

Where was cassandra at the time? we know she takes us into custody so was she just in Haven with probably a peace keeping force of Divine loyalist?

Oh, that does remind me of how Golems are supposed to be created. Don't they encase the Dwarf in molten Lyrium or some such thing?

So, we do sort of know that Lyrium can keep the essence of the individual intact to some degree.

Yeah. i've thought about that too. How can dwarves have souls if they aren't connected to the fade in any way? So maybe lyrium can create a soul, and that's what happens to dwarves. And we know there is incredibly strong lyrium in the temple around the ashes. so maybe in the fade Andraste has been turned into a spirit unlike the one's naturally from Fade, or she is like the spirit of Courage or faith or something.

Well, Dwarves are able to be drawn into the Fade by Demons, so they obviously must have souls.

But yeah, I think Lyrium can preserve a soul in the non-afterlife and keep it from going wherever else it would go. In that case, such a soul could become much like a Spirit if it were powerful enough.

It could also be a spirit of Hope, Justina and Andraste was full of hope and faith.

Well Blood magic is like lyrium which can keep you alive. so i guess in theory Lyrium should be able to as well, but it might just have different effects since it has a direct connection to the fade. unlike Blood magic which i believe is using our spirit essence as the power.

Im leaning toward that the spirit is andraste due to the lyrium vapors, affecting her ashes and giving her a tangilable form. But if thats not the cases i think its a spirit of hope that saw how thdas is so desitute and decieded to intervine by bonding with the inq.

Hold up just thought of something new!!
We talked about how andraste could use some sort of song music, right and we see the inq "bonding with" a dragon. This may reenforce my theory its andraste due to how capitivating her singing was and just have a more subconscience version.

Why would Andraste appear as a glowing spirit?....but then again there were those apparitions of her followers testing us in DAO

I do think it's possible that glowing green lady may be associated with Andraste at least. Perhaps a guardian that been with her since the begining ala wynnes spirit?

I don't know. The whole Herald of Andraste thing seems pretty straight forward. and considering this spirit appearing right on the exact other side of the explosion at the temple of ashes, seems like a connection or i guess it could be a coincidence.

And that potent raw lyrium might have had more effects on the ashes than just the healing effect. with the explosion it might of super charged it creating the spiritual embodiment of Andraste. we know the Lyrium can already keep these other spirits around who have long since been dead. why can't it do the same to her?

I think it's the Divine soul (it seems souls travel the Fade to an unknown place when people die) , though it's possible we're never going to find out ...

The Herald of Andraste title might simply tied to the fact you survive a catastrophe where the Ashes of Andraste were.

I doubt the women in the fade is going to introduce herself .

Considering the guardian was alive for how long... i say lyrium exposure to that extent cause a biological immortality effect

Yeah we are probably just going to be speculating about it.

She is probably just going to give us the mark and the way out of the fade.

Yeah but Andraste is supposed to be dead , there's no reason her soul would be tied to her ashes.

Chantry lore says she's at the Maker side.

Tevinter magisters says they saw her in the fade a couple of years after she died.

Now the nature of the fade is a bit funny , since people thoughts can make up things in there...

The thing is we've been told one of the theme of Inquisition is faith .

So I think the Inquisitor will be able to look at things from the point of view of faith , yeah it was Andraste , she left the Maker side to give humanity a chance to survive.

Or no faith , it was just a random spirit , or the soul of the Divine , something not divine .

I mean the moment Andraste enters the pictures and says "Hi it's me" , it's divine intervention and there's not a lot to debate.

As far as I know souls don't linger (unless you do your Flemeth , the ghosts we see in game , it seems ,are confused spirits a bit like Cole ).

Yep.

That's pretty much my analysis. A big Magical Reaction between the different forces present in the Temple may have resulted in some lingering imprint of Andraste getting supercharged. Or something of that general nature.

That mark...

We are obviously playing as the anti-christ and do not know it.

Meaning, we're actually the Elder One, but we've developed a split personality or something.

No clue.

We'll probably discover that our hand is capable of so much more than sealing rifts, but in the beginning we probably have no clue why our hand is even glowing in the first place.

We never said her soul would be in the ashes. for all we know Dwarves don't have souls but they can be put into golems because of lyrium. so why could incredibly powerful lyrium next to the remnants of the ashes not do anything similar? the Guardian and the spirits protecting the temple have all been recreated or kept alive because of lyrium.

So couldn't this powerful Lyrium take the essence of Andraste and while taking that essence magically infuse it creating the spirit we see in that video. i mean whats more likely a regular divine who just dies in a explosion suddenly turning into a spirit or a woman who has had centuries of her body sitting right next to lyrium that is more potent than a dwarf has ever seen.

And i'm not saying its going to be like "Hey it's andraste here. So that Elder one is totes bad and the maker wants you to kill him. good luck!" I don't think that spirit is going to tell us anything. except give us a chance at life we weren't supposed to have.

Again why would the Divine suddenly become a spirit? and why would Andraste have to leave the side of the maker? there is no proof she is with him one way or another. the dev's can leave it up to speculation like they already do with the maker.

Why do people keep calling it the rift.  :P i have never heard them refer to the tears or breach as rifts. i get its a cool term i just really don't see where people are getting that from.

The only two Rifts i know is the school of magic and The Abyssal Rift.

Dwarves have souls...Shale soul was put in a golem , dwarves can be wardens and kill the Archdemons.

I wasn't saying the Divine was turned into a spirit , it seems when people die their souls go to the fade and travel to an unknown place and dissappear.(Not dwarves though , their soul goes back to the Stone , whatever that's supposed to mean)

So my theory is Boom , the Divine dies , the Inquisitor is thrown in the Fade , before the Divine soul goes to oblivion or the Maker side or whatever , she sees the Inquisitor.

Also on the trailer , you can see some black water behing the woman in the Fade .I think souls get sucked into that dark stuff.

lol its become somehow interchangeable with tears most just go with the fan terminalogy to change things up. Idk why im doing it despite knowing the difference.
