Without context there's really no way for us to know for certain based on trailers. But I wonder if that spider-demon we see near the end may be the true form the Elder One or an abomination of his followers.
I say this because the DA2 trailer all show quick glimpses of events that happen throughout the game. We see kirkwall burning, Orsino's harvester form, Verterall, Merediths 3 headed bronze statue, Mages vs Templars, etc

Yeah i have no idea what that might be. but its like why would our inquisitor, Hawke and some random Grey Warden be in the fade looking at that monstrous demon. what ever it might be.
Besides saving the world. The only thing I can think of what that could be is perhaps a Corypheus abomination I don't know why but it kinda looked blighted/ broodmother-y
Coryhpeus is likely manipulating the grey wardens thus involving the Inquisitor by default (we gotta fight wardens) and Hawke to finally put an end to all this. the randome grey warden is probably htere to help Hawke in their search.

But i still doubt Corypheus is the elder one. he would be another completely disappointing out come for the villain. i believe he is in the game, just not the main antagonist.

Maybe allies of convenience. like they might not attack eachother but they aren't exactly working together. they just don't mess with eachother.

After all at least if anything tainted nearby he can just jump body and if he is in a Warden fortress well chance of us killing him is pretty slim at best.

Yeah, I agree that Corypheus is at least working with the elder one and crew. I could be wrong but weren't there Behemoth and partially transform red templars in the warden fortress we have to attack?
Corypheus got the immortality he desired, but not power. As a dreamer he can shape the fade how he sees fit. It makes alot of sense if he and other magisters want to get rid off the veil.
I theorize that veiless world will alow dreamer class mages to truly shape their worlds. Make thier imagination into reality. Become god like.

I'm willing to bet the reason they have been so sketchy about our Warden in the game is that Cory got his hands on them and we are forced to kill them.

Also just to put my voice into the Corypheus thing. the reason they probably locked him up was because they couldn't find a way to kill him.
Hold on. if two souls collide they are destroyed. I.E the Archedemon and the Warden Commander.
What if you lose your soul if you are tainted and thats why corypheus can enter a warden.
Like maybe it is an act of god, if you are consumed by the taint you will forever live in nothingness.

To me it's a no brainer. I mean didn't we have a night long discussion about what that spirit might be and we looked at pictures of diferent elven gods and then talked about witch hunt a bit.
Also if its true it will stomp the Flemeth is Andraste theory which i kinda love for weird reasons
