It's Morrigan in her shapeshifting form, isn't it? You can see that same bird in several of the concept arts, and there's footage of her shapeshifting from a bird to her human form in the enemy of thedas trailer. The devs said that the bird wasn't a pet, but they didn't say it wasn't someone important. My guess is Morrigan. Thoughts?

I unno man, I just want a pet bird. I want a raven to sit on my shoulder in cutscenes, cause ravens are cool. Owls too but I don't think the world could handle that level of awesome.

she mentioned she could do this to Shale during one party banter.... something about just hover over her, until.. then shale cuts her off, getting the gist of her statement.
