"Good" here means they are neither red Templars nor a member of the faction that follows Lambert. Something like Cassandra and Cullen's case.

Do we know how many? Do the majority decided to follow Lambert? That would be a shame.

Cullen's not templar anymore though. He said it himself.

I guess there is good templars somewhere. Or has whole templar organisation gone rebel?

Lambert's Templars are the good templars. Someone needs to exterminate all those filthy mages

Anyway, I'm sure there's a few in game like Ser Thrask and Evangeline who are mage sympathizers and are still loyal to the Divine.

According to Asunder, Lambert had Fifteen Knight-Commanders on his side. We don't know if that's the whole, the majority or just a fraction of the Templar high command. However, that was before Lambert's sudden disappearance and even he admitted that a few held private reservations, so who knows.

Cullen's not templar anymore though. He said it himself.

But it could be because he's joining the Inquisition. "Whatever we were, we are now..." and all that. The same for Cassandra and the Seekers.

If you look in the Enemy of Thedas trailer, some of the inquisition troops are using Templar shields, so they might make up the majority of the inquisition troops, I mean i don't know how else the inquisition could get troops out of the blue.

In the storyline, I suppose the former Seekers and templars who remained loyal to Divine Justinia V would become the first members of the Inquisition that was formed by Cassandra, as part of the Divine's plan, although most of the Seekers and templars seem to have remained loyal to High Seeker Lambert van Reeves. It will likely remain up to the Inquisitor whether any other members of the Templar Order are befriended or not, with the view on whether these men and women are good or bad is likely going to vary from player to player.

There may well be some Templars who remained loyal to the Divine, particularly if they are out on the fringes and so not directly involved in events.  Their job has always been to guard mages and round up apostates, though, so if the Circles have fallen, regardless of whether they agree with Lambert or not on how to end the conflict, they will still be trying to round up mages.     The local Chantry clerics will likely support them in this and continue to supply them with lyrium.

However, the main difference will come when you resolve the mage/Templar war.   If you do this in favour of a return to the status quo, then those Templars not addicted to red lyrium will likely quickly offer their support to the Inquisition.   From your point of view they would then be "good".

Carver maybe if you didn't kill him or make him a grey warden.

Other then that who knows? We'll probably end up running into one or two on our travels, after all there's bound to be more thrask's in the world, misguided or otherwise.

Carver would definitely be a good templar if he shows up and isn't dead or a GW in your play through.

It depends on what you are referring to. The "Templar Order" went rogue. The only people that can be properly called "Templar" are the people in that order. I'd say the answer in that case is no.

But if you just mean people with Templar skills, then I'd say its almost assured that there are "Good Templars", depending, of course, on what their goals are.

All Templars are good Templars.

But I imagine there will be. The Templar character in multiplayer suggests that there are Templars who join the Inquisition. I assume that's regardless of who you opt to side with in the war.

I'm actually hoping Lamberts templars are not the Red Templars (do we know from information we've received?)

And - if they are - there is a possibility that someone the Inquisitor knows caused the issue (spoilers from the books) of the Red Templars.

Hard to say. The Templars in the Redcliffe demo were normal, yet they still attacked on sight (as did the mages), and we got that story of the Templars murdering a farmer who didn't flee in time and apparently "farming hoe=magic staff".

I personally find it unsurprising that freed from any real form of oversight, the Templars would naturally drift to extremes. I imagine we will be able to get moderates to defect to the Inquisition, and possibly bring the order back into line, either through force or through promises of alliance.

The Templar Order went rogue, but that doesn't mean they listen to Lord Seeker Lambert, especially if, as hinted, Cole kills him in the very end of Asunder.

I think there are. Bethany and Carver, if they go to the Circle as mage/templar, admit there are good people in the Order, and the templars we meet in DA: O are fairly reasonable. Cullen's the craziest, and he got over that. With templar quests, we see others who say things like "Only punish mages who run away, not their families"

I think a few more scenes like Evangeline in Asunder would be beneficial, though.
