Could somebody point me to a quality crawling corpse model? I don't feel like making my own at the moment, but I would like to modify one ![]()

I have been quite busy today, however I have found some time for adding this:
Just because an Hebi-No-Onna looks like a human oriental woman, except for the snake arms. I have thought that the only think that one needs for recreating that creature is just some dynamic hands which looks like snakes. So here there are.
http://www.lomion.de/cmm/hebinoon.php
Even when the Hebi-No-Onna usually seems like a human woman, I have made hands for all races and sexes, just normal phenotype. Snake scales use "tattoo 1" color. The snakes don't have animations, but have a little bit of flexion.

Bonus: Hebi-No-Onna, premade creature, based on her RL 3.5 official stats.....
Shemsu-Heru could you make please some variations for the snakes? (Different kinds)
I don't think so; I'm sorry but the Hebi-No-Onna Is not enough interesting to me in order to continue working with her, Also I'm quite busy this month, and there is another stuff in which I would rather spent my free time.
Maybe you could be interested in doing that? I could send you my files, in order that you could make your own variations?....
As far as I know I have finished the trap/trick I described earlier in this thread. However I would appreciate some feedback on it and its associated notes before I submit it. If someone would like to look over the test module and notes and let me know what they think I would appreciate it. To do so please pm me and I will give you an address to be able to download it. One little note about the test module. I have used the ctp_common and ctp gothic interior haks for it. When it is ready for submission I will put the relevant bits into an erf.
Thank you in advance.

The Blood elemental reskin of AD's classic water elemental currently looks like:

I guess I need to figure out what to do for a portrait for it next. That pic doesn't capture the red blood emitter splashing around, but you've seen the source if you've seen AD's water elemental.
While I was messing with the model, I made a couple more variants. First, I tried a shadowy version. It looks useable, and the little pixelated shadows splashing around it still "work", but don't fit any particular cannon monster I'm aware of. I also made a Sewer Thing variant by swapping in the appropriate BW sewer water texture (AD's original referenced the city water texture, I think) and adjusting the emitters again. Anyway, some pics for those follow and I can include them if they interest anyone; I'm not sure they're appropriate as they're inspired more by the model's potential than by any particular Ravenloft source. I *did* also try a lava variant with one of the BW Dungeon lava textures but I didn't like where that experiment went and so it has been relegated to the scrap heap now.

The blood elemental looks great, Shadguy!
Shadgouy i think that this water elemental hould make great (legless) maggot golem, just change texture and add splat effect.

I always liked the zombie crawlers in Dungeon Siege I. Can't find an image though... >.<

That's a cool idea if I can find a texture I like. I'll poke around a bit.

Exactly what I am going for. I'd also like to do a faster one and maybe use the DS1 fish monster.
Here is a quick moving maggot texture I put together. Anything larger quality than this seems to crash my toolset.

Thank you sir - I am also a fan of your work (I like fiends, too) !
I've tried that out and like the work you did, but I don't think it works due to scale. The texture used by the models is only 64x64, and as a drop in replacement for the water textures that doesn't end up looking like a big swarm of maggots. It's a cool texture, I just have limited skills (I do my work in Wordpad, lol), so I don't know if there's a way to scale the texture down while keeping the model the same size so that the squirmy little buggers look maggot sized. (Advice/pointers are always welcome if you think there's a way to pursue that, or some other approach). At the moment, it looks like an exotic Mummy Blob with animated wrappings.
I also tried a (non-animated) version using the Elder Brain texture from the illithid tileset, but it suffers the same problem. The scale ain't right. Please jump in if I"m missing something obvious, or just need to do some learning and homework (pointers welcome).

If the maggot texture is pretty much seamless, it's easy enough in gmax to get it to tile better on the model instead of stretching out. One of the uvw map modifiers...can't remember off-hand if it's "unwrap uvw" or just "uvw" or what...but it's something like that. Put the modifier on it, then go through the bulleted options until you find the one you like.
So, you like those non-technical and kind of vague directions? That's what you get from someone not actually trained to use modelling software. ![]()

Link me the model you want to use, at the scale you want to use it, and I will link you back a retextured version using the planar maggot mess. At that point you should be able to substitute any planar texture of similar size, like worms, or brains, or sewer water. I have some time tonight if you are interested.
In the meantime, feel free to further disgust yourself with these darker and seamless larvae.

Thank you for the offers of help!
AD, I haven't had gmax or nwmax installed for a long time (~2 computers ago?). I can track something down if it comes to it.
Shadowing2029, I can play with your texture for the emitters after we get the skin right; MD, the current version of the model is here:
https://www.dropbox....maggot.zip?dl=0
That model references the texture you provided and some placeholder ones (included) inherited, for now, from the Water Ellie/Blood Golem. If we get something we're happy with, I can do up a quick portrait afterwards.

You guys are horrifying
I have done an area pre-fab using the ctp gothic exterior tileset.
Meet the mansion at the heart of the Boritsi Estate

Home to Ivana Boritsi, Lord of Borka

Also known as the Black Widow who has poisoned many who've passed through this door

It is said that on many a moonlit night strange sounds are heard coming from the roof of this vast pile

Here we can see the bay windows in one of the gable ends

Looking along the moonlit back of the building where it is not the night air that sends a chill up your spine
This is as close as I can get to the picture in the original TSR Ravenloft boxed set.

I did up 6 examples, all calling on the first. These are fairly disgusting, but I prefer the 5th one over all the rest. The 6th uses the texture I had originally sent, while the others use the second set of textures. All are quite nasty, but one or two are not good quality for animating.
These make my wife cringe and make that noise people make when they are disgusted.

So disgusting
Note:
I did not remove the bloody spurt emitters, but it did ask me on export if I wanted to delete some zero-face objects. You may need to put them back since I have no idea what they were for. Sorry if that caused any trouble.
Also, you can see where the arm nodes meet the body, the texture is stretched. This is because the base pose is not that of the idle pose. I'd personally use it as is, but if need be, somebody better at that kind of stuff could modify the texture at those locations.
it kind of reminds me of oogie boogie from 'Nightmare Before Christmas' in his last form
