Yeah, I'll take Cerberus turrets, phantoms and Atlas missiles any day over the Trollectors, used to think Geth are the worst but they are just mildly annoying compared to lol seeker swarms and troll crabs.

Decided to give it a try after Mission_scrubbed's few mentions of this combo.

 

Consumable status - 5/3/4/3 at the beginning of wave 9; 3/1/2/1 by the end of it. Ultra-mega-phantom BS indeed. 

The first 4-5 waves were super-enjoyable though. 

 

Played it very safe. Has 8 nukes going into wave 8. Don't really like to nuke the collector heavy waves. Not pleased with the time but there is nothing in this solo besides Collectors that makes me want to redo it.

You did it. I didn't use Armor Compartments, although I needed the missiles like hell, especially at wave 8 and beyond. Wave 4 was a nightmare. Made it to wave 10 once but I had no consumables left.

Shoot, (AR) Shoot, Frag (Fe), Shoot, Carnage, Frag (Fe).

 

1) I could kill a Platinum Brute in an instant. Extremely flashy build.

2) Incendiary sucks against Collectors and Banshees. It is as if I'm using no rounds at all. Warp and AP could kill those bullet sponges times faster.

3) Phantoms again were no issue if you kite them alone.

4) I played the entire game without shields. Adrenaline without Shield is a no go, especially on Platinum.

 

I dropped it when I realized I was trying to solo the worst build, on the worst map, with the worst consumables, against the worst faction.

Been wanting to do this for a while now, but here it is - a platinum solo devoid of Cerberus.

Mods used:

• 10 enemies active at once
• Used wavelist randomizer in Mgamerz' modmaker; but made a few changes to remove all cerberus units and replace a few bosses on waves with 4+ boss units.

For those curious, here's the wavelist (I made this mod a while ago, so didn't know which enemy appears in which wave during the game)

• Wave 1 - Collector Trooper (3), Cannibal (2), Banshee (1), Geth Trooper (2), Brute (2)
• Wave 2 - Collector Trooper (2), Collector Captain (2), Praetorian (2), Husk (3), Ravager (1)
• Wave 3 - Scion (2), Cannibal (3), Geth pyro (2), Abomination (2), Praetorian (1)
• Wave 4 - Rocket Trooper (2), Geth Prime (2), Marauder (2), Ravager (2), Geth Hunter (2)

No. It randomizes when you initially make the mod, but once you apply it to your game it doesn't change. Atleast that's my understanding.

Provocations? Loufi pls . My fondness of collectors, and hatred of Cerberus goes beyond these. 

 

I'll say it again - collectors are the least BS faction for me, the most fun, have the best variety in enemy and attacks. Opposite of these are true for Cerberus.

1) True, but there is only one wave with brutes and that's an objective wave.

2) Yes, incendiary is not a great choice against barriers. AP ammo double hits are really useful on both praetorians and banshees. Furthermore, the area around the crates has a lot of thin cover that you can penetrate using AP. Very useful. In general, incendiary isn't a very good choice for this set-up.

4) On this map, the shield evo is a much better choice than the bonus power. Bonus power allows you to pull off a nice shoot > AR shoot > carnage > shoot > frag sequence without having to manually reload but the problem is that it is very difficult to execute it in a solo. 

 

I would've gone with a no carnage spec but just wanted to invest in it to differentiate from the standard HSol.
