Hack, pizzas, devices. I finished the last device wave 10 with 8s left ! While completing the 3rd one, I had Atlases on my right, Bombers and Phantoms approaching on my left, but there was only 1:30 left so I decided to stay and "sacrifice" a gel. I actually lost 3 for that device only but it was finally a good decision, if I had repositioned one more time I would have probably ran out of time for the 4th. 

 

Like for the AIU, this is the first vid with the volus engineer since october 2014. Some characters deserve more love.

After a little hiatus I thought coming back with something ordinary out of the ordinary would be a good way to report back. So here is my second "No rockets"-solo with the Asari Huntress. First try ended with a Banshee hug after completing the objective in wave 10, second try ended with rage rocketing targets in W10, third try went again smoothly till wave ten, when I got the middle hack, which took me over four minutes and some kiting to complete... Still a fun game! Mission successful pic is linked, the pic showing that I used no rockets is included at the bottom of this post.

Anyway i wnat to finish my cheese eating session, and that means reapa plat banshees whipping with the goon dept on white. I guess its the best setup to learn how to deal with those lovely girls. I must say, i still have a lot to understand with them ! I guess i m lucky i fail a lot , so that i get the pattern better

Sounds like a fun solo... but which can end with a Banshee hug anytime.

similar to Loufi's recent solos I did this because there's been no human sentinel videos since 2014 and there's only one other hsent vs. geth video from 2013 that I saw

 

getting devices on brute waves is annoying, those assholes always seem to be just right there

Almost ended up ragequitting and punching myself in the face after firing a missile off the map at the start of wave 5.

This is lolPS3 XAN, this game is too complicated for it. 

 

More seriously, I've had this bug a few times on Atlases too (not only with Shockwave), but more frequently on Ravagers. I'm not sure what happened there, Shockwave is globally a buggy power, not only on PC.

Yes, and it's a real shame as shockwave would be an incredible power if it worked as it should, I get the same on PC, you see the explosion and the staggering effect on an Atlas, but 0 damage done, and trying to hit Dragoons can be more than a little frustrating

So true, I've lost the count of how many times I've had Shockwave going throught them without doing anything.

I still cant predict when a singularity smash sequence will detonate on a banshee. Sometimes she has her blocking power stance (hand of denial) and i get a BE, sometimes, nothing and she doesnt seem blocking. Maybe something with priming window and detonating one.... 

a bit further : 

u have to stay close to a banshee that took a break from teleporting, this way she ll go in her hand of denial/warp/nova cycle ?

This sounds like a swarmer problem, i have never had a BE do 0 damage to atlases without swarmers involved

AD : tsk. The Point wrt to the Banshee is that if it is not a Hit Scan power she brings up her HOD.
So u can HS prime her, and detonate her by making sure your non hitscan doesn't have her in focus (before her on the ground or passing by next her) and use the SW radius to ur benefit.
If, erroneuously, you focus your detonation SW on her, she'll stay primed for the alotted time but be bubblewrapped.

I don't even understand how Ark's response addresses XAN's point, but I'm not in that league anyway. Dark Art, eben. Post edit - sry Loufi, just realized this hj ur thread.

as far as I know it's not just a shockwave thing, I'm pretty sure it's a global limit on all power combos and will happen any time enough potential targets are clustered in the explosion radius. the maximum number of targets for any power combo detonation is 4 and the AOE damage from an explosion is apparently applied before damage to the primed target. 

 

so goddamn swarmers are usually the culprit.

Finally got a sub 30 with the AIU.


Before this I did a GT vs Reaper solo ending on wave 10 with Targets, Devices, Targets - I must be cursed or something.
