Playing the shittiest faction in the game rewards you with the shittiest objective waves possible, wave 10 took forever and this mess ended up my longest solo in a long time, 10 WS is nice vs these damn trolls though.

I will most definately never solo the Trollectors ever again.

I had 3 or 4 tries that were screwed on wave 8 or 9 by a random phantom or hunter that decided to troll spawn and down me in ~3 shots. So frustrating.

My very first completed platinum solo! no discounts from the game for this one, targets wave 3 wasn't too bad. I made it to wave 10 with 5 missiles, ready to brute force any other possible objective... got devices  at least clean up went by fast

Pyros burned a lot of resources, they had a nasty habit of respawning just so they'd pinch me between them in front and primes in the back. I also wasn't really ready for triple phantoms on wave 9... but I liked collectors, only one double banshee wave, only one phantom wave, dragoon only on extraction, lots of abominations to help squeeze the budget, and interesting waves' compositions. I don't go for speedruns, so maybe things are different there though!

This was hard, but not as frustrating as I thought it'd be. Now let's see if the platinum solo bug has bitten me, or if this was just a one-off

Having done 2 horrific Collector solos I needed to go back to something that's actually fun - Cerberus!

Decided to try a solo (as I'm "working from home" today) with the N-7 Valkyrie that I have wanted to do for a long time.

That gun is not to bad, but it should have had a bit more ammo at X.

Wave 6 targets was the best of the three objectives, and that's saying something. One crab got stuck near the basement, blocking all engineers and the atlas. The second crab was the target, which kept respawning away from the basement. One of the easiest assassination objectives. I messed up w3 pizza horribly - I literally ran right into a brute that was around the corner (nogethscannerproblems). Failed to cheese w10 hack and I had to kite the enemies thrice, Bleh.

A few random notes:

• Adepts have the fastest average time (44:22), with sentinels on the other extreme (49:47).
• Drell have the fastest average time among the different species (39:26) and are the only one with a sub-40.
• Vorcha are the species with least number of submissions (averaged over the number of characters) with just 19.33 (58 entries across 3 characters). Volus (20.75) and quarian (21) are not far off. Sadly, 4 out of 5 quarians are in the bottom 10 when it comes to the # of submissions. 
• 7 characters have sub-20 entries so far (GI, DI, Valkyrie, kroguard, batguard, GT and talon). 

I hope I didn't miss anything.

jk, congrats Loufi, that's a huge achievement. I was already working on a sub30 solo with the HA, but then I started the N7 series and took a break from plat solos. The closest I got was a wave 10 cleanup wipe with 27 something on White/Cerb, so the final time would have been just over 30 minutes. I'd also like to see the video! Curious why you chose Giant instead of White or Glacier.

Devices, escort, hack. The first 3 waves are pretty bad, the rest is okayish. Wave 6 escort shows that sometimes, you can pass where you didn't think you could pass*.

Thanks Xan ! I consider that White is globally better for speedruns, but also that this map is more spawns dependant than Giant. I'm becoming lazy
and so wanted this sub-30 done in 1-3 tries (got it at 2nd one). On White, I've had many runs with constant annoying spawns, where basically enemies spawning near the extraction zone attacked me systematically in my back. This obliged me to check and reposition constantly, and so made me lost a lot of time. On Giant spawns are more straightforward : if you camp at the extraction zone, enemies will come in that little funnel almost 100% of the time. Besides, the human adept has range with the Singularity / Warp combo, so the bigger size of Giant isn't really a problem. If I tried to improve again
the time, or with a more melee-range character, I would certainly pick White, but to just quickly get a sub-30 with the HA (I mean in the least possible number of tries), Giant is a very solid choice IMO.

Saw NightSlasher doing lots of Drell Assassin + Crusader so I thought , hey sounds fun, why not try ?

Never done collectors except with TGI , never done Drell assassin and never done Crusader so it was a bit of a challenge.

 

Totally forgot that Crusader actually requires you to aim... so many missed shots...

Even with cyclonic mod III I got destroyed pretty bad in this game, and it took me 54 minutes.

At least it's one run with an unprecendented kit for me, so yay.

 

Now I'm even more impressed at NightSlasher's flawless runs that are way faster than my messy one, my hat off to you sir.
