Thanks Xan ! I consider that White is globally better for speedruns, but also that this map is more spawns dependant than Giant. I'm becoming lazy
and so wanted this sub-30 done in 1-3 tries (got it at 2nd one). On White, I've had many runs with constant annoying spawns, where basically enemies spawning near the extraction zone attacked me systematically in my back. This obliged me to check and reposition constantly, and so made me lost a lot of time. On Giant spawns are more straightforward : if you camp at the extraction zone, enemies will come in that little funnel almost 100% of the time. Besides, the human adept has range with the Singularity / Warp combo, so the bigger size of Giant isn't really a problem. If I tried to improve again
the time, or with a more melee-range character, I would certainly pick White, but to just quickly get a sub-30 with the HA (I mean in the least possible number of tries), Giant is a very solid choice IMO.

Fully agree with that, White is faster if you are lucky with the spawns, it's very common that they start to come in behind you, I've been boxed in with no escape with 2 Atlased blocking escape many times. But in those few solos when everything spawns perfectly White will be faster.

Saw NightSlasher doing lots of Drell Assassin + Crusader so I thought , hey sounds fun, why not try ?

Never done collectors except with TGI , never done Drell assassin and never done Crusader so it was a bit of a challenge.

 

Totally forgot that Crusader actually requires you to aim... so many missed shots...

Even with cyclonic mod III I got destroyed pretty bad in this game, and it took me 54 minutes.

At least it's one run with an unprecendented kit for me, so yay.

 

Now I'm even more impressed at NightSlasher's flawless runs that are way faster than my messy one, my hat off to you sir.

Despite wave 10 devices I managed to finally cheese myself to a sub 30 with the TGI.

Now it's time to permanently retire this kit from soloing at last.

So a cm3 on a drell gives you a dazling 250 shields, and you won`t notice any of those vs plat enemies. Go adrenaline or power amp 4, it`s better

Agree with Ark here, cyclonics don't add so much due to the very low base shields on the Drell, power amp IV is what I go with, that way your recon mine detonations will be very effective for abominations etc that can be tricky to hit with the Cusader.

Yeah I've seen most players choose power amp or adrenaline and it makes sense. I actually tried and failed with power amp. I usually do pretty well on that map but not with collectors. For some reason I always run into trouble with that faction on that map yet I do okay vs cerberus and reapers (haven't tried geths yet). Feels like sometimes, the ennemies are not where they should be. I got frustrated with getting killed in an instant by single ennemies turning up when I did not expect it. I think I just have to get better with this kit and weapon.

Salarian Infiltrator

I think this guy is probably the most enjoyable Venom user in a game. His powers fit excellently with Venom. I was hoping to go sub 30min so this set consisted lots of tries. First 6 tries beginned one after the other with devices. If there wasn´t devices there were targets so no hope for me to get fast time. Best and fastest try was first one where I got hack, hack, devices but got stabbed on wave 10 clean up.

Took pressure away from w10 clean up, but i should have kept one as i ended up cornered on extract and used 3/4 gels to get out. Would have been mission successful at least. For once, i wld have welcomed target on w10 .

 

It s only a bit faster than the previous run posted, but i forgot to use those missiles , so i guess, i wld have shaved few more minutes. Still feels quite slow. Might try cerb next time.

I'm far from a Trollectors specialist, but I would say 2 waves 4 ('cause nobody has time for double Banshees waves), 2 waves 8 (Praetorians + Primes sucks), keep 2 for wave 10. But it really depends on your abilities to deal with Phantoms : if you can't kill them easily, it might be better to use 0/1 missile wave 4 and 1/2 wave 9. Depends on whether on not you take Armored Compartments.

 

Without AC: I'd say 1xw4, 2xw8, 1xw9 and 2xw10. 

Depending on your kit, w9 rocket may not be needed. Wraith justicar  probably doesn't but I nuke w9 unless I am using venom. You could save the w9 rocket for w10 or use it on w8.

 

With AC: 2xw4, 3xw8, 2xw9, 2xw10

Again, w9 rocket is a personal choice, depending on how easily you can handle phantoms (or how much of their BS you can tolerate). You could use 1 rocket on w2 if you can find a nice spawn (on maps like white & glacier, the 2 crabs and 3 scions spawn together at times - you could nuke this).

 

If you are forced to use a nuke on w6, then it comes out of the w9's allotment.

On a more serious note, if I had to pick a species, I think I'd go with Human. Probably has something to do with the fact there are more human kits than any other.

Right, it's high time I started posting my platinum solos. And thank you Filippopotame, for you gave me the idea to do this. :>

 

Some of those solos are a bit old, but all were performed between 2015 and 2016. 

 

All those have recorded video as a proof. You might hear me talking and joking (and sometimes, cursing, 'specially when a surprise Pyro shows outta nowhere) in French with some friends in some of these. Sorry if that spoils you the video :>. 

 

No modded objectives in any of them. FOV was modded. 

 

Oh, and I don't remember the date of any of my solos, apart from the N7 Fury one, so i'll just write the date of the day before the video's upload date instead. Hope it's not a problem.

No, it's not a problem. The format is all good. For future solos you could just cut a few things (keep only the first 3 letters for months like september, remove M-4 and Cerberus before Shuriken and Harrier...). The idea is that the shorter, the better. No big deal as you can see.

You must be French, or something. Sort of curious that the French word for vorcha is the same as the English word for krogan, but language is funny that way I guess.
