On Mass Effect 3, using printscreen will indeed result in black screens. From what I know, switching the game fullscreen option to "Borderless Window" (or something like that) can solve this problem, but I never tried it. 

 

Did you try Fraps too ?

I were in real try hard mode for 20 HS, but I only got the medal for 10, so many missed shots.

It's probably a matter of habit too. I've played mostly pistols recently and the one I use the most is the Arc Pistol so I usually get headshots easily enough with that weapon. But slap a Crusader on any kit I'm playing, tell me to aim for the head and I'll miss 3 shots out of 4 (okay...probably more), even those big juicy collector heads.

Well the Crusader is a Hitscan weapon that acts like a Projectile one since there's a ~0.2 sec delay between the click on your mouse and the shot. 

 

So, unless you have a good stun on your kit (Energy Drain for instance, since I play it on the Salarian Infiltrator), aiming with that weapon is going to be a bit of a problem.

All jokes aside, obviously stunning abilities make an adequate answer for aiming difficulties. On a more serious note, I'm only answering as a professional courtesy, meaning I actually have no idea what I'm talking about. No Armored Compartments is one thing but without Geth Scan, it will be tough to make that run a speed run. You should still be able to reduce your time somehow, like something around 60 minutes or a bit less maybe. To be fair, that's only what I think I'd be able to do under the circumstances.

 

To me, for this kit, Black Widow is an good option. Did a solo with it against collectors, though it was on White with Geth Scan, so way easier. There's a lot of things you could try that'd work, shotguns (crusader would be my choice but others would be fine too), some Sniper Rifle(+acolyte if you wish), Arc Pistol (Arc Pistol works surprinsingly well under various circumstances) or even some Assault Rifles.  

 

As I said, I'm answering because I wish I could help but it would probably make more sense to wait for the platinum solo veterans to give you proper tips, I'm sure they got pretty much every situation covered.

This isn't part of my series of solos of favorite kits that I've been doing over the past few days, because favorite and collectors do not belong in the same room or even on the same planet for me no matter how handsome the turian is. They are tedious crap and this is the last time I solo them on any difficulty. But this way, once I finish solos with each of my favorite kits from each class with four classes to go, I'll end up at exactly 300.

On PC there is a mod that fixes the fire delay on the Crusader, it's a legit mod since the fire delay is a bug that Biover never bothered to fix. I don't use that mod myself since I use the Crusader rarely though, but I remember the link to it being posted on the forum a few times.

That's indeed quite a challenge! It's a very difficult solo to do with SRs due to the limited visibility on that map, possessed abominations are especially annoying. My advice is to go with the GS, the limited visibility on that map is a poor design choice as it only affects you and not the enemy.

there s a very small change to make on the ME executable to make printscreen work, i ll look for it.

 
 

What's that ?

I have the crusader delay fix somewhere, and printscreen is a Keyboard key to copy your screen, and paste it later in paint or whatever. It only copies one screen...

Overwrite the pcc in the

x:\...\Mass Effect 3\BIOGame\CookedPCConsole directory.

This will work for you whether you are the host or client. Clients don't get the benefit if you are the host because it is done locally.

IIRC you open the masseffect.exe properties (right click on the file). Open Compatibility tab. U check "deactivate desktop composition" box.

Then the printscreen key work

Wut ? You must have configurated it badly. Never had any framerate problems with Fraps. Especially when it came to taking screenshots.

i somewhat remembered u told me

Fraps is a drain regardless of configuration for older or low-end systems. My old AMD Phenom/Radeon 5850 system couldn't handle it without tanking the framerate unless I was okay with absolute potato quality videos, whereas recording in Afterburner wasn't a problem, for the most part.

 

Though as a simple screen-capping utility and if you don't plan to record, one is much the same as the other.
