I think cerb are faster however, cos phantoms and goons reach you faster then then pyros and hunters
Yes, Geth are slower than Cerberus since they don't rush you the way Cerberus do.
Main reason seems to be wave budget here, 80 and 70 instead of 40 or smtg ? Plus they R fast, yeah

I always missed range on the flamer trooper and the PPR feels natural with this character.
After some tests I went for rate of fire on hunter mode, sacrificing some flamer damage for faster Atlas take downs at range.
The build has potential (esp. on bigger maps), though I fail to realize it fully in this run.
I originally started with Scorpion as side arm but the Acolyte is just too good to leave home.

No. I felt the same way, but DPS goes up with ROF with the PPR too, kill is faster.
Full clip is put on target in 7.6 sec instead of 8.7, same damage (almost) under shorter time.
Platinum Atlas goes down in 17.4 sec instead of 18.8.

I only loose a little damage on the ramp up, as that takes the same length of time, regardless of ROF.
But the damage loss is only 4 uncharged shot vs 4 charged shots.
With ROF, it is 33 shots, without, 29, till charged.
Easily compensated for by the ROF increase.
This is with perfect aiming admittedly.
No problem with Atlases and Ravagers, but with small targets there are more wasted shots.
Shoot pesky phantoms in cover or on the ladder for sport

Been so long since i looked at the value of the units. I thought alteast the pyros would be worth 60 or more, as they are shielded and armoured, but no. It's says 40 in cyonan's thread (from 2012)
moves at about halv the speed, and is worth about half of the cerb units, but has shields, cloack and armour....seems fair..biowar pls

After a long line of targets and devices with atlases and phantoms on top of them, I equiped a power amp3 and sat back for a practice run.
Got good objectives, okay spawns and played okey.

I'm not so sure. The fastest ever platinum solo on console (19:57) was completed by Knockingbr4in using exactly that setup...........Although, to be fair, the second fastest platinum solo on console (19:58) was completed by ctc91 who used the Acolyte instead of the Reegar.

What Mr. Bateman said. Incendiary cheese melts Atlases much faster than anything else. Sometimes on Glacier I find myself forced to kill Atlases in order to reach the mooks, and the Reegar helps a lot with them. I have tried the Venom too, but I need to find the rhythm for it on the GT. Haven't tried with the Acolyte, but I certainly will.

This is a different solo from my usual entries, completed on PS3.
I got tired of waiting for bullshit RNG unlocks on my TechnoTurian account so I just used N7-gerbil's old account that he rarely touches, with his permission, of course. Hence the name in the screenshot.
Equips were Venom VIII, Warp IV, a Power Amp IV, and a Shotgun II (edit - also AC5). Devices x targets x objects, and I can't say I handled any of them all that well (rage nukes happened).
Not too enthusiastic about the end results and on retrospect I should have done reapers, but also didn't want to listen to banshee screams every wave and just wanted to get through this once; won't be trying it again for any reason, playing this game with a controller hurts my hands too much.

Awesome, as well as squeaking past q5tyhj and XAN on the console fastest times list for the Drell Infiltrator and Asari Valkyrie respectively, I noticed that you now have the 5th, 6th, 7th, 8th, 9th, 10th, 11th and 12th fastest Reaper solos on console.................seems someone has a thing for fast solos and loose Banshees.

Number of solos (for reference) - ark 46, q5tyhj 39, XAN 17
Average time - XAN 36:15, q5tyhj 37:49, ark 38:39
Fastest time - XAN 25:52, ark 26:54, q5tyhj 27:47
XAN is out in front in terms of times but I give a bonus point to ark for being the only one to fight Collectors; and q5tyhj gets a bonus point for having the only 10 waves survived solos of the trio.
XAN, I look forward to your imminent sub-30 Collectors 10WS solo
