Also have a question about the "Modded" section.  What mods push the solo into that category?  Specifically, if I want to do a solo with the Crusader do I have to go back to aim delay?

In theory, any mod pushes a solo into the modded section. Of course, changing some basic settings like the FoV or the camera sensitivity isn't considered as modding the game. The general idea is to consider as a mod a change which can make the game significantly easier (like removing certain objectives, modifying the enemies' behavior, etc.) and to ensure some consistency for cross-platforms comparisons.

 

However, so far I have never asked PC players whether they had used a modded Crusader. So I would say feel free to use the delay fix, I will not put your solo into the modded section for that.

I'm trying to figure out a decent gun for the Saboteur.  I wanted to go Valkyrie, but the game keeps giving me targets and the DPS is not really very good against them.

I ended up doing Crusader, which was pretty good v Collectors, even with my crappy playing.  Extraction was pretty amusing.

Packages, Devices, Escort.  Crusader woke this guy up.  There were a couple spots where I got stuck in and had to burn several consumables to try and escape, one of which was on extraction and led to a pretty suspenseful egress.

 

I have now completed a solo with every engineer.

Giving Dragoons a taste of their own medicine is incredibly satisfying. The lack of an smg was an oversight, I don't think it made much difference.

Batarian Soldier

Last weekend failure in wave 10 and today got stabbed by Phantom 1.20min after start.

In this revenge run I used one missile in wave 6 and 9, three to clear wave 10 and one in 5 sec. remaining to extraction. Pretty solid run for me but wave 8 and 9 took quite a long time. Objectives were devices, hack, hack.

Weapon popularity by enemy faction (single weapon solos only):

 

 

Cerberus - Venom (41), Arc Pistol (41), Reegar (14), GPS (14), Black Widow (11).

 

Geth - Reegar (16), Venom (9), Arc Pistol (7), Javelin (6), lots of weapons on 2 solos each.

 

Reapers - Reegar (24), Acolyte (18), Venom (18), Wraith (8), GPS (6).

 

Collectors - Reegar (14), Black Widow (7), Venom (5), Crusader (5), Javelin (5).

A hilarious game to report in. So I thought that playing the Human Male Adept against Collectors on Giant would be a good choice for my first full non Huntress Plat solo and midway through the game I think, "well this looks like a great choice". Everything goes according to plan, I kite around a little, have time to drink during waves and basically control the battlefield. Then wave 6, targets come along and because everything goes so well till then I say to myself "c'mon let's quicken this up a bit and use missiles". Great idea: five missiles later the targets are killed (yeah, I missed one :angry: ) and I still have one missile left.

 

Problem: Of course I wanted that missile to clear out wave 10, but in wave 8 I use it as emergency missile. So with no missiles left I get devices in wave 10. Usually on Giant no prob, but this time I get two devices in the middle. After some kiting all devices are a go, but now the fun started: with no clear-out missile and the Primes always flanking me so that I don't have enough time to get rid of the Banshees who also use their "Belgian spinner"-tactic to stay alive I'm kiting and kiting and kiting...

 

20 or maybe even 30 minutes later I finally separate the two Banshees and get rid of the first, then the second, rest is a breeze. Man, that wave 10 finale felt like an eternity. Never in danger to fail, but not able to close the deal for an ETERNITY.

 

Still, hereby I report the first Human Adept plat solo against Collectors. Will have to try again to get to a more respectable time later,,, (with that I mean for me, so maybe to 80 or 90 minutes  ;) )

Nice. You now have 5 solos each with the Phoenix Adept, Geth Infiltrator & Drell Infiltrator in the HoF but the Batarian Brawler is still top with 6 solos.

Your total solo time for the GI is actually slightly longer than for the PA.

 

The Phoenix Adept is the only kit you've solo'd all factions with but you have a few with which you've solo'd 3 of the 4 factions.

Quite similar to my batsent solo, mainly done because the batdept was the last batarian I hadn't soloed with.

I've done 7 solos each against Cerberus, Geth and Reapers but only 2 against Collectors so I think I'll concentrate on them for a while to fix that disparity. This Destroyer solo helps with that plus it's the only solo that kit has on PS3, leaving just the Talon Merc to be completed (hint, hint, Loufi & art).

 

This was pretty straightforward with easy hacks on waves 3 and 6. On wave 10 I got an escort that ran through the lower street part of the map which was crammed with enemies. I decided to just use brute force to get through. After using five rockets, three gels, two ops packs and with the objective still incomplete I started regretting my decision. Did you know the Destroyer sans Devastator Mode can be staggered by the Geth Prime's drone? I sure didn't.

Yep, you're right. That's the first Asari Adept solo against Collectors.

 

I've never really thought the Lancer was that great, I prefer the CSMG in most situations.

I was attempting AA on Goddess v Collectors, but it was turning into a debacle on Wave 10 too often.  I saved one with a hack on 10 that I couldn't glitch where I got paid, but I didn't  upload it.

Sh*t time, largely due to long objectives and double Banshee waves. I tried this same setup last night and got grabbed after finishing the 2nd device on wave 10, so I was happy to get this one done without any drama.

 

Build

 

Objectives:

Hax (upper level by the ladder, didn't manage to cheese, so had to kite twice)

Targets (two rockets, managed to separate two of the Primes from the pack and finished them off with the pistol)

Devices (good location for all but the first one, and I managed to get to that one before the mob really started moving)
