Sometimes plat solo attempts can be a pain in the ass. Got shot down on my first try with the Paladin Sentinel against Cerberus with seven seconds to go till extraction after using my last medi-gel right before that Atlas stun/Dragoon shot action took me out. Of course a dragoon stomped on me two seconds before our reinforcements would have gotten me out, so I didn't even get Mission Successful...

 

Will have to play them again. My Paladin - Cerberus and friends 0:1. I have to admit though that I played a bit careless in one of the rounds against the Dragoons, so I'm pretty optimistic that I can tie the score on the next try. Unless the objective waves mess my game up of course...

It was quite easy to get 10 waves survived in my first Collector Adept solo against Reapers, so I went for it again, this time against Collectors. And I failed. Quite badly. I didn't manage to cheese the wave ten hack and that cost me several gels.

Wave 6 & 10 were very hard and slow. I've now soloed all 4 factions with a Claymore wielding HFI so she's going to have a well earned retirement.

Yeah, it's just a really powerful setup so I was thinking of using it against all factions. Cerberus will probably be a bit annoying with the PPR as the only weapon though.

Some goofing about yesterday:

 

I decided to do a solo without the use of weapon for direct damage. So, I picked the shuriken on the justicar, slapped the smg power magnifier, power amp module and the wonderful geth scanner and got to work. Surprisingly, the first 5 waves were pretty easy. Slow moving enemies were extremely easy with bubble+reave. 

Things got a bit ugly once phantoms started to spawn (the lack of cyclonic really started to hurt on wave 8, but with 3 missiles on w8, I made it through).

 

Reave spam is quite powerful, esp. with power amplifiers.

Yeah Phantoms and Dragoons can be very annoying with the PPR only.

I also did mine with the Justiciar with a power amp and a power magnifier. Reave is insanely powerful like that. But I extracted with only 1 gel left  .

A human is a human, no matter if he is a vanilla one, a N7 or a renegade. Since there are a lot of human characters, there are sub-categories for this specy simply to make easier to enter into a human completionist category with only a few solos.

Now I have soloed with every races.

Too many mistakes in early waves so I was out of gels in wave 6. Somehow I didn´t die in later waves. 1 missile in wave 8 and others in wave 10. Two devices were in really awful places. This supportive character have to be really badass because this is my fastest plat solo.

Objectives were escort, pizza, devices.

Heya all, decided to try platinum solo myself, dunno why I didn't do it before This was my second try with Geth Soldier, survived with 1 missile and 1 gel left giant/reapers. Died mostly cause I got wave 10 4xhack objective / 3 wave was pizza and 6 was follow the drone ....anyway on wave 10 I got 2 hacks on the lower level of the map in the mid but with some kiting I managed to do it, spent few missiles there. Gotta say it was a blast, loved it, gonna try some more with diffirent kit.

Also used shield boost V for 30% shields+Cyclonic IV+pistol amp III and Cryo IV, hmmm now when I think of it, dunno when I did my 3x gold solos / needed that for best of the best achi, but it was some time ago....pity I didn't go for plat solos earlier but hey better late than never  Btw, I know flamer+acolyte is kinda cheap but I figured for first plat solo it's better to go with class/weapon that you know how to play and Geth trooper is my go-to kit, still love to play it^^

Nicely done. Getting five waves survived in your first platinum solo is some achievement.

 

What weapon did you use? Can you add that into the form below?

9 waves "chillin' with the collectors", then nearly blew the game on wave ten escort. Objectives in 3 and 6 were both times pizza. I used one medi-gel in wave 6 and five in wave ten.

I finally got an extraction! Finally got the stupid timing on w11. GI Javelin FBWGeth 36 mins. I could have sub 30 it with kook compartments but needed the extra ops pack. I was about to take a SS but got wfop soloing on ps3. wfop, wfop. thanks a lot ps3. Thought I'd share it, also free bump!

Had to rage missile in wave 5 which left me with 3 missiles for wave ten targets (of course I got targets in this situation). First shot was a miss  , so I had two missiles for four targets. Used the rockets on the first two and with the help of 5 ops packs I managed to destroy the fourth Atlas with 3 seconds left.  The other objective waves were escort and devices.
