I have the feeling that you will become Fleet admiral... before being Admiral. This thread is inconsistent lol, but I didn't think someone would do it in that order.

This is the first time I've soloed Glacier Platinum, and I hated it. Thanks to some computer/game performance tips from TechnoTurian though, I managed to get 30FPS through the entire game so that's something.

Redoing some old solos, and trying new weapons at the same time, Demolisher with Adas. Build.

Devices, targets, hack. The Adas with Disruptor rounds melts Primes' shields at an impressive rythm. The weapon is a lot less impressive against big armors but it's fine when you have powers to detonate. However I should have equiped a secondary for guardians because not taking one led to a ridiculous situation at the end of wave 4  .

Wld'nt U use Disruptor ammo for self detonnating stickies TB ? (Giant hazard not shaking too much ?)

Yep Disruptor could have been great too, I hesitated. I finally took AP for more penetration against Atlases and to have a bonus damage against Dragoons. For Phantoms, I usually forced them to bubble with Cryo Blast and then shoot them, or created traps with Stickies (I shoot, they flip, the Sticky explodes). But, yeah, I must admit that wave 7 with both Phantoms and Dragoons was quite a pita, Stickies helped me a lot for this wave.

Working on 10 waves survived against the Geth. So far at least one dumb move per game, in one game in wave 6, in the others in wave 8 or 9 (or both times in 8, not 100% sure). Like a surfer in search for the perfect wave...

Don't remember the objective waves in the two older ones anymore, but today it was escort, pizza, hack. Made one of the dumbest moves ever in the pizza round.

This was the absolute pinnacle of RNG trolling, I probably tried this solo almost 10 times before this, which included a run of like 3 or 4 consecutive games where I got Targets on both waves 3/6 or 6/10. One of those, I bled out on wave 10 as the last target (an Atlas) literally had one bar of armor left. Sonofa. Needless to say, I had taken a long break from the plat solo attempts after that. Anyways, I wish the time was better but honestly I'm just happy I finally I got it. Objectives were Hack/Hack/Hack, all 3 were the same (basically unglitchable) hack in the middle room. Eff you cerberus.

^I see the hack you're talking about. I remember artvandalay (a PS3 player too) saying that he had managed to glitch it, but I don't remember the character he was using. Probably a kit with a dodge, I'm not sure it's possible with a character who can't dodge.

Yeah its the one where the terminal to start the Hack isn't even in the hack circle (but against that back wall). And I remember reading something about it supposedly being glitchable, but I didn't remember how (and I assume you're right, it probably requires a kit with dodge anyways) and I wasn't trying to get fancy- mostly I was just thanking my lucky stars it wasn't Targets or Devices again (else I might have just gave up)!

Yes capn had created a thread about that. Apparently it's glitchable on both PC and consoles (I mean, whatever the FoV). But, yes, it probably requires a dodge.

About the hack, Is it the one by the stairs? At the hack circle edges, closest one to the device (you will need to know exactly where it is), stand on where you can hold L1 to zoom in on the activation button, while still being able to activate it without getting out of the circle. then step out as soon as you trigger it.

Edit: Well Loufi beat me to it with a better demonstration but I've never dodged out of it, just simply stepped out. I've never done it without Zooming in like the video thu.

Thanks, and thanks Loufi for the link. May try that in a PUG or gold solo until I get the hang of it. Although I'm sure after getting that particular hack 3 times in one game I won't see it again for months. 

 

(@upper- I agree, drellguard/drelldept plat duo would be fun. Maybe try to think up a themed challenge for it and see if we can get it added to the list? Hmm. Something to think about)

Doesn't radius on shockwave have some bug? I always thought so, and hence never used it.
