underwhelming missile use cost me sub-25 and 1 incredibly stupid death in w2 cost me 10ws, also through the whole match i kept thinking "i would be more into this if I was playing with a turian"
The thread is updated. Special congrats this week to TheNightSlasher, who has finally managed to get a sub-20 run with the Drell infiltrator (at the date of... the D-day). This is only the 4th sub-20 platinum solo in the archive, and the first with the DI.

But .... but ... this is just the fastest plat solo ever !!! Universal record, BotB medal , Faster than FTFTL !!!
I tought the onick record was there to stay, like bob beamon long jump. I Guess TNS is Carl lewis or michael powel, we ll see later.
And Loufi down play it with "it s only the 4th sub 20" well, it s the fastest one and by not less than 40 secs ! (3.5 %)

Just watcheed the solo, congrats anyway, u were not so lucky on spawns. And there s room for better time, if u retry, but i guess U R done. (i mean u could have a better time, not many others could, certainly not me)
I have a few ?
-I havent been able to see if you charge up after cloak for faster CD or before for 2 boosted shots ? (cloaks breaks a bit fast after the second shot)
-U sure u gain time by aiming at the atlas weak points (for 7% damage spike instead of going for triple/double hits ? Maybe the groin one register double hits ? Knee too ?

1. I charge before cloak because charging afterwards breaks cloak.
2. When taking down atlas shields, going for multi-hits is better. But I sometimes try for the weak points, which is a mistake - there are no weak points against shields. Against armor, I try to hit the weak points more often because its spike damage is very high and more importantly, it staggers the atlas pushing it back. It is very useful in the tight spaces of glacier.
The groin area is not a double hit. It's a weak point - like the two knee caps and the two shoulder plates. When they come off, it causes the atlas to stagger and the damage is higher than usual.

It is possible to go sub-19. But it will be a HUGE grind. Going from 20:50 to 19:04 took me 25 tries or so. Some random stuff like troll spawn or atlas surviving rockets etc happen preventing the possibility of a sub-19.
One of my rockets wasn't optimal and a couple of spawns didn't work as I expected. However, that was balanced by the fact that w3 spawn was delicious and banshee on w4 magically disappeared.
However, I am not going to try for it. I am pretty much done with soloing cerb/plat. I kept at it because I wanted a sub-20.

Atlas armor plates
- damage inflicted on plate removal is 7% of Atlas armor:
gold: 1610 = 23000*7/100
silver: 980 = 14000*7/100
- necessary damage for removing a plate is 5% of total atlas armor (the armor piercing mod has no influence on plate damage):
gold: 1150 = 23000*5/100
3 x Carnifex(X) shots: 3*(345.1*(1+0.15)) = 1190.595 //plate removed
1 x cloaked Saber(X) shot: 534.8*(1+0.15+0.15+0.8) = 1123.08 //failed to remove the plate
silver: 700 = 14000*5/100
7 x Predator(X) shots: 7*(73.5*(1+0.15+0.25)) = 720.3 //plate removed
1 x Saber(X) shot: 534.8*(1+0.15+0.15) = 695.24 //failed to remove the plate
- shooting the plates causes no damage on the atlas (until removed)
- can only be removed after the atlas' shields are depleted.
I m a bit surprised by the bolded part and how i understood the subpiece thing for multiple hit. I guess u dont get atlas armor damage before breaking the plates if U dont have piercing. If you have piercing, U should both damage the plates and the atlas main armor pool too throught the plate, shouldn't u ?

Unless the plate breaks off, there is no spike damage. With a charged arc pistol, 2 shots will cause the plate to break off.
Even with piercing, if the plate doesn't break off, there will be no additional damage - in other words, it is NOT a double hit region, but merely a weak point. It's a bit like the engineer's backpack. Merely shooting it won't cause extra damage but when it explodes, it'll cause massive damage, AoE and stagger.

The problem is that the first shoot cause no damage at all if i read the test correctly, so your gain is none, cause 2 arc pistol shot are surely (?) worth more than the 7% damage spike, and the armor plate breaking must act as a gate i presume.
Except if piercing allows to hit the atlas main model too as it should. I ll rewatch your vid

Great start, used 3 gel and 1 ops on w1.
Got my **** together by w5. Had good nukes for once.
On w9 I had one of those really annoying banshees that just didn`t want to stop teleporting,
combined with the goon rush, that made for a alot of walking backwards and cursing.
Atlases takes a long time to take down with this setup.
Edit: It doesn`t say turian in the title, but i assume it`s kinda obvious. But just in case, it`s the tsent

I was a bit rusty, so after two failed attempts with new (plat solo) characters I went back to my bread and butter character to have a good game: the Asari Huntress.
10 waves survived was nice, still I managed to get stuck between a Dragoon and two Atlasses on the extraction wave, so I got mission successful, but didn't extract. SMH
Objectives: pizza, devices, pizza. The only change to my usual build: I used the high velocity barrel and warp ammo instead of the power magnifier and armor piercing rounds. Without the power magnifier I went to the power amp 3 I had available as armor bonus.

paniced on w10 and nuked a single banshee, prob didn`t need to, but I had the pizza, and it scared me.

Objectives were devices, hack, object recovery. I didn´t want to risk anything on wave 10 so two alone Phantoms ate rocket while I was carrying pizza. They sure deserve it because their sisters stabbed me in few earlier attempts.
