Geth Scanner makes Platinum solos so easy. The lack of Geth Scanner makes Platinum solos unnecessarily hard. 

My missiles were pretty bad this game, couldn't get a single killstreak. One of them also completely missed, because I tried nuking an Atlas and a Banshee, then I saw a Rocket Trooper a bit further away and I wanted to get it too using my MLG twitch shooting reflexes.

I'll probably redo this solo once I have my   Venom X  .

Oh, and I also died to a swarmer on wave 5

I meleed Phantoms as much as I could, what almost caused me a heart attack at 31:20. 

 

You can also see me meleeing pretty often in the air. It's not to look badass, but simply to activate the batarian melee damage reduction.  
It's quite awesome, since the batsol can thus easily take an Atlas' rocket in the face and still be close to full shields.

Exactly. But yeah, thanks explosive BB ! They're a lifesaver and made this solo funnier since, after casting BB on a Phantom, I knew I was immune to said Phantom's sync and could melee her.

That heavy meleeing the empty air is quite a neat trick... thanks for sharing! Also, how did you manage to survive that sync kill at the end of wave eight?

The time it takes for Ballistic Blades to explode is right around the time it takes for a Phantom to do her sync move, and the explosion will stagger her out of her sync animation- so you can usually melee her at will after hitting her with BB. Has saved my behind countless times. Basically Exhibits A-Z on why you must spec into explosive blades on rank 6.

^Yep, what q5 said. As for meleeing the air, it kinda compensates for the batarians' lack of dodge. Adding to that the stagger from BB and the huge damage against armor from Inferno Grenades, and it turns out that the batsol is a very solid character for plat solos.

Submitting my Tiers of Neufchatel Tier 1 solo even though I already have one with the Kroguard, mostly because this is my first plat solo vs. Geth and I'd like to solo all factions (Collectors up next, had a few frustrating late wave fails last night before getting mad and just doing a Venom AIU solo vs Cerb).
