Used a lot more aggressive play style because I was trying to get a good time. Wave 6 devices screwed me over. Had to use a missile before doing the last one, and finished with ~40 seconds left. Still, it's a sub 40 plat solo, I'm content with this time  ... for now.

Imagine all the BS you can. It has happened in this game. I was starting waves in the bunker and the enemies spawned in the LZ. Also double targets. (Biower plz) Had to use 4 missiles on wave 3 because I just couldn't single out the Atlases, on wave 6 I managed to do it with only 1 missile. I got a "mercy" escort on wave 10, but I still had to kite 2 times because a Banshee and her Atlas friends decided  that the weather was good enough to go camping near the drone. After dealing with the Banshee I moved in and tanked the Atlases with ops packs and cover. Using my last missile on wave 10 cleanup was the most satisfying thing ever.

 

I'm thinking about trying solos on other maps now. Ghost doesn't look that bad. (it probably is)

Ghost is excellent for solos. Reactor too.

Lol, I thought Xan had already solo'd White. Then yeah, this map is the best for solos, after Giant.

I realized I had more 3x as many extractions as CP with coll then any other faction thx to UUG. So even RNG UUG statistically prefers collectors (in my case). If just those swarmers and crabs were not so heavy on the ps3 memory& leaks - I'd prefer them anyday instead of those Krumping phantoms and spacejumping G-hunters.

Well I made a serious attempt at a Plat solo 2 nights ago, wiped on wave 9 when I ran out of gel.

 

And here I thought it would be a cakewalk, I set Giant / Reaper and used a GT/Acolyte CSMG.

 

**** are Banshee's ever annoying, I'm so used to playing against them in team games that I didn't really realize how much of a pain in the ass they are in solo's  .. next attempt will be vs Cerberus. I should be able to get it done

You only need the Acolyte, you can skip the CSMG. Gigant is the best map for it, I did my GT solo vs Cerberus on White using only the Acolyte, the CSMG would only be usefull against guardians really, but it's not needed.

Lol that's the opposite for me, I find them very annoying in team games because they never stop teleporting. In solos 1 Acolyte shot + 2s of Flamer is enough to stop them. What ammo were you using ? Taking disruptor could help to quickly stop those b*tches (while also providing some stagger on shielded mooks)...

 

Cerberus could be harder actually. Burning or not, those damn Dragoons never stop...

Oh, incendiary aren't a bad choice, because of the incendiary glitch. But if your main problem is being pushed too much by Banshees, then yes, equiping an anti-barrier ammo is a possible solution.

 

Actually, there isn't any objective wave with Dragoons for Cerberus plat. You'll have to fight Dragoons wave 2 (3 of them), wave 7 (2), wave 9 (3) and wave 11 (4). You're right, they die pretty quickly with a Flamer GT. But, as I said before, being burned will not prevent them from charging and harrassing you. The risk is that, if they manage to stuck you once, given the GT's low health, it's possible to loose several medi-gels in a few seconds. But nothing unmanageable if you're careful enough.

I recommend using Cryo IV ammo with the GT/Acolyte, slows them down a bit and weakens their armor, Dragoons are not that bad for the solo, I was more stressed by the Cerberus turrets, there are a lot of them to look out for.

If you haven't tried it yet, the Geth scanner will help you out a lot if you are running a build with no HM.

Armor weakening don't affect the damage done by the flamer, but at least in my GT solo I was shooting the Acolyte from a distance at armored targets (mainly turrets, pyros and dragoons), Acolyte does very low damage to armor so there is a small increase at least from the Cryo effect. Overall it works really well with the GT, great against mooks, small increase against armored targets hit with the Acolyte from long distance and movement speed reduction.

Also, take AC 5 if you're using the GT (if you didn't the first time)- use exclusively on Geth. If you got to w9 on your first serious attempt, I strongly suspect you'll get it next time!

I feel like I haven't contributed much since taking over the stat master position. So, here are some:

 

 

• AW_FC_1986's kroguard solo is his 100th submission in this thread. He becomes the fifth player to reach the century mark. Congrats AW_FC!

 

• Venom reaches the 200 mark in single weapon solos. As of now, there are 204 solos submitted where venom is the only gun used. Arc Pistol is a distant second with 148 sole weapon entries.
• Thanks to recent Glacier solos by AW_FC and Smehur, Glacier becomes the fourth map to have 100 submitted solos. Only White (552), Giant (484) and Giant hazard (131) have more submitted solos.
