Trolled again with wave 10 targets, everything was going fine up to then with Escort and Hack on 3 and 6 and 9 WS.

I managed to get through wave 10 with 0 gels and 0 ops packs left.

i m unable to pull this one against geth. either i get the sword charging a nearby target, either i run in a banshee aroud a corner. i should geth scanner maybe.

Same here. I try to take advantage of ramps/stairs but can't camp for too long and get swarmed/stagger locked...

I use the geth scanner on him (also when I soloed the Geth with him). It's tempting to slap AC V on him considering his health/barrier combined with DR and charge but his drawback is limited mobility so you want to be a bit careful around banshees and phantoms.

Phoenix Vanguard done, fun to solo with but quite a bit more challenging than the Kroguard and Batguard but a lot more fun.

I did finish a solo yesterday, but I can't upload it on youtube. It says something about account verification, I don't know.

 

Anyways, It was with HSol on Hazard Noveria. Time 42:41. No lolcolyte, Reegar or Geth Scanner. High Lord's help is all I needed (and LOTS of Frags). Objectives were Hack (ok, simple enough), Escort (drone decided to go through the spawn - F@ck!) and Hack again (sh@t myself in that wave... )

 

Thoughts I made regarding the solo:

1) I chose Hazard Noveria for it's great atmosphere. Adrenaline's Blindness was not a problem (also, 'nades).

2) Set Cerberus for enemy faction, although Phantoms are very tricky to put down. Just stagger them, aim high and hope for the better. Other than that, Rippaz  were an alternative but I can't stand the wailling of the Banshees any more, and the are packed with Geth. Collectors are boring and Geth are no-go as an option. It's easier to unistall the game than face 3 f.....g Primes all alone.

3) I    Claymore. To any haters of this beast of a weapon, yes, there is something wrong with YOU. And I expect it shreds enemies more gruesomely in ME4.

4) Grenade Capacity is the best thing ever happed to ME3.

5) I went with the kit I'm most proficient with, and it fits my game style 110% (close and personal, constant movement, roll in and out of danger).

    i) Adrenaline Rush does it all. It keeps you alive and it's the best combat power ever designed.

    ii) Concussive shot (Oh-sh@t button). 3 points are more than enough. It will always give you the precious time to wedge a mook's head   into your gun's barrel and press the trigger. Extemely usefull on Phantoms and times you want to save grenades for later.

   iii) Frags. They behave exactly Iike I want my grenades to behave. Bouncing of walls, they are a great source of mass murdering/stagger power. Trolls goons.

 

Thank you Bioware for creating, balancing this wonderful game. And totally ruining it later, of course . New players should try the solo challenge, it will greatly enhance their perception and skill. Sorry for my English and long post.

Very impressive, must be among the fastest console solos done?

ok, geth scanner has really made things easy. But the time suck, i fear i forgot to squeeze those 10 more FPS trhough razer cortex.

I m a bit disapointed it was so slow cause i thought i was pretty efficient. Leaving banshees for the wave end wasnt a good call i guess, but killing them was awfully slow.

I had a perfect run yesterday with no ops nor gels used wave 8, but i decided to hug a banshee threaten by some geth rocket trooper

i could use some good ones, they are almost cheap now. I ll try next time . FOr 30 E u can have some nice senheiser, not hifi stuff, far from it, but it s not music

Could give you an edge in some situations, for sure, but it's far from guaranteed and not really comparable to the GS. Phantoms and other shouting Cerberus troops can be pinpointed quite well by sound on small maps. Geth bombers make these tiny sounds I've never heard before getting a good headset, just before they drop bombs on you and when they hop over obstacles. Other geth sounds are kinda iffy, and hunters and pyros make none at all. Banshees are easy to track when they're a ways away, but when they get close, relying on hearing alone is as likely to get you synced as playing with no sound at all.

 

I'd say that simply playing without GS for a while and getting used to it is a lot more likely to up your game than a new headset.

I feel scrubier thatn 2 months ago though, but was trying xelander no geth scanner solos on gold and were failing them. I rely on the scanner way too much. As for the time i thought i could go 30-35 with perfect obj like this. But i guess i shouldnt have run away from banshees. My idea was that TTK them / wave budget is quite poor, but maybe running without shooting is far worse

Devices wave 3 were a pain - because of shitty locations it took me nearly the whole 5 minutes - but two easy hacks in wave 6 and 10 made up for it. My second fastest time to date, fastest with the HA.

After the clumsy kroguard, it felt good to solo with the TGI. This was kind of cool solo, but still trolling a lot. The lack of double banshees and phantom/goon waves on plat collector is really nice. and giant feels reallly safe, except during escorts. Maybe acolyte would have spare me some running between ammo boxes.

Obj were hack, escort, LONG ESCORT with no more ops/gel. The 3 missiles were the only way to get it on time and i still was very lucky to avoid a deadly stagger.

Was lucky on extact too cause i did nt look enough my six and goons were nice enough to never spawn there
