Controversial as the character was in some areas, I really enjoyed Mark of the Assassin and think it was the best part of the game. I think the use of the character was somewhat flawed, though, as Tallis in the game seemed to be more "Felicia Day as a Qunari" versus Tallis in the movie (who was a Qunari who just happened to look like Felicia Day).

 

I also think the game went out of its way to prevent you from being able to stop Tallis when it should have allowed you to take the names--even if this would have drastic consequences.

 

One thing I did like about Tallis' character is she did remind me a lot of religious converts I met in real-life who kind of skipped over the unpleasant or corrupt parts of their religion because they only liked to think about the good.

 

I'd like to see a sort of crisis of faith for Tallis if she shows up in the next game.

 

Possibly also a resolution, if she's not set for appearing in Dragon Age 4, at least.

Tbh I hope she won't come back, the voice acting was a little weird.. For some reason it didn't sound natural, no offense Felicia Day.

I actually liked the flirty thing because it helped solidify that Tallis is a REALLY BAD Qunari agent.

I like the alternate character interpretation that Tallis' attiude in Mark of the Assasin is complete B.S and she's actually a stone cold killer as well as manipulator.

I really liked the hunting wyverns part of MoTA, that was a lot of fun. What I didn't like was I felt railroaded with the Tallis story and couldn't get the list of qunari info from her no matter what I did at the end. I didn't like how she kept messing up her mission and my Hawke was expected to just go along with her plans. If she ends up in DAI i hope we can call her out but I'd rather not see her again.

Idk, I loved everything about MOtA..... Other than Tallis. My Hawke was very anti-Qunari after the invasion and you basically had no choice but to help her and couldn't even steal the list to use for your own ends. I highly doubt, if we were given the option, my Hawke would have let her just waltz away from him with it and with no consequences.

I seriously hope she's not in inquisition and if she is, that we can skip over her. I couldn't stand the horrible quality of her web series and her character just super rubbed me the wrong way. That's why I'm hoping Vivienne's ball in inquisition will use all the good parts of MOtA, the party part and the sneaking part were great.

I did love the qunari designs though, the war paint was really interesting.

Sadly, that can't be continued because we're not with Hawke anymore.

I am curious about Tallis, Iron Bull and Ben-Hassarath. 

 

By this I mean what would happen if you did not help Tallis in Mark of the Assassin ?

 

My mage Hawke did not help her because :

 

1) He depises the Qun, especially with their treatment of mages. 

 

2) Angry at Tallis for all the betrayal and backstabbing she did, she could have been up front about stealing a secret document at the very least. Didn't have to go into details about the document. 

 

3) It is good for the Qun and Orlais to be in tensions. At least the Qun will be opposed by Tevinter and by Orlais. The two most powerful human nations opposing the Qun is a good thing. 

 

So my query is what would happen if you did not choose to help Tallis ? Would the positions of all the Ben-Hassarath in Thedas be at risk ? Would the Qunari be in some damage control mode ? Would Iron Bull be in a difficult situation ?

The irony of Mark of the Assassin is that the converts were never in any danger. The Duke was a moron.

What you DID accomplish was drastically weaken Empress Celene by killing her biggest political supporter.

You can try to stop Tallis but you fail either way.

 

Because Hawke is the Lord of Failure.

I really liked Tallis, she may have been Qunari but she wasn't a fanatic.. she saw the good and the bad sides of the Qun. I would love to see her again, but i doubt she would have a significant role in DAI.. maybe just a cameo or something, maybe say a few words of greetings to Leliana and/or Varric during a mission.

In a perfect world she'd be a secret companion and LI (for the sake of having a female elf available to M!Inquisitors) but alas, this world is anything but perfect.

I actually liked her to some extent. I mean I didn't adore her or anything, but she was good written enough, apart from the fact that she was very controversial.

I liked her , wish we could see her or hear about her . Maybe as a courier for the Qun , or a side quest to intercept a messenger while with Hawke and have a 'OMG I KNEW YA !' and then you go 'yo know her? Do tell!'  If not , then let us have some of those Orlesian! Some of the stuff we saw and heard in the party were hilarious !

Yeah I wanted to hang around those Orlesians a little longer, especially at the party, they all had interesting things to say. I wanted to find out more about cheese that tasted like despair

I might be a little biased by how much I liked MoTA (It was my favorite part of anything DA2), but I liked Tallis a lot despite the Qun and any controversy and wouldn't mind seeing her again at all. Her personality was a breath of fresh air I could have used throughout the rest of the game being surrounded by the drama llamas.
