Yeah, Goldanna isn't Alistair's sister.
Which makes the entire quest kind of pointless.
I think you need to learn the point of the quest in the first place. It was not about Alistair's sister.

It's about Alistair letting go of his illusions about a "normal" life. Yeah, I get that.
However, it just makes the whole thing weird that he's this Arthurian figure with a First Enchanter mother and King father.
I liked it better when his mom was a washer woman.

Who don't.
Like he needed more connections to mary sue tropes.
I just figure revealing Fiona as Al's mother is a way to disgrace him, negate the royal wedding, and take away his throne everyone can participate in. I'm sure Loghain/Anora fans will receive similar resolution. Viola, no one's happy and everything's fair. If you can't please everyone, please no one.

I imagine it'll be far, far, less important.
Fiona saying she's Alistair's mother in a conversation and referencing the events of the Calling.
And maybe a mission where you reunite them.
And that's it.
I used to be moderately pro-mage. Then DA2 and the Forums happened.
Amen.
I used to be moderately pro-mage. Then DA2 and the Forums happened.
Besides pro-Templars are badly outnumbered.
Yeah, this generation has a lot of weakness in it.
It's unwilling to what is needed for the greater good, the majority.
Honestly, they need the bloody draft back, if the young people actually contributed and protected their society they might get it and stop acting like a bunch of ingrate hippies...
That's my opinion anyway.
That is an increidble Anders impersonation!
Lulu should be in vegas.
Personally I just hope we don't see to many crazy mages and Templars like in DA2, I think we have had enough those.
It would be nice to return some more down to earth people instead of those "Mages deserves to be put to the sword" or "we need to be free from the circle".
Anyway, I'm just glad this Templar-Mage War thing is ending.
Then we can move on to something ELSE to endlessly argue about.
Castleless vs. Nobles!
:-)

We will see.
I am not making any expectations until DAI releases.

If you really believe the discussion is going to end after DA:I then you don't know BSN. ![]()
Lulu should be in vegas.
Interviewer: Tell us again about the mage cause.
Anders: Well you see John Mages need to be free no matter what.
Interviewer: But isn't it true that mages can be exponentially more dangerous than non-mages?
Anders: That doesn't mean they should be locked up! Those filthy commoners should be honored to be killed at the hands of a superior being!
Interviewer: Uhm.... I don't think that----
Anders: MAGE FREEDOM NOW! ALL HAIL THE NEW TEVINTER!

People still argue about letting Loghain live or die. The Mage vs Templar thing will not end with DAI on the BSN. Especially considering in future games there will be mages who do bad things.

The next interview is with the Amazing Crystal Meredith for her rebuttal.

I hope they introduce some new controversies, though.
This one's getting a bit stale.
Loghain is a good one because there's arguments both ways.
Less so with the Elves because, well, "Repressive racial apartheid" is a hard sell to most geeks (thank God).

It's not weird. It's just that you don't like it. Plain as that.

See that's where you get it wrong. Most of the "Anti-Elven" crowd are really Anti-DALISH. I happen to like and support the City Elves. The Dalish can all ride a landship off a cliff though.

Tevinter vs Qunari aka worst cases for both the Mage and Templar side. ![]()
