Does power synergy affect the damage done by detonating the power?

If you mean the tech armor/ barrier itself: i dont think so...correct me if wrong

Only source i can find is kalence, which says it doesn't affect detonation damage. Although who knows if that's truly accurate.

I tested tech armor about a year ago and it does not add additional damage to the detonation. I would be surprised if barrier was any different.

Someone tested Barrier as well and I think it was uneffected.

Yes, it's a good ability to stagger at close range and quickly kill swarmers and some other pets. It's also a life-saver against Phantoms' sync-kill on non-dodging characters.

Easiest way to do Tech Armor and Barrier is solo bronze vs geth (Tech Armor with the KroLord, and Barrier with the Kroguard)
at least for me

It's actually one of my favorite vids of his. I found it ironic that the pugs were getting a lot of kills, but in the end he still topped the scoreboard.

I believe it does. Tech Armor is still a tech power.

Sometimes, I'll join a Gold Pug Lobby and go in as my Human Sentinel with my AcLOLyte, and spam Tech Armor on every freakin' enemy. I've always topped the scoreboard every time I attempted a Tech Armor spamming playstyle within a Pug lobby. It's really fun, but sometimes, you need to concentrate on shooting. This really depends on the faction though, if you get Geth, it may not be the best way to play.

Sometimes when I'm that up close and personal with the enemy I tend to get a bit flustered.
