Tech armor is pretty easy to get on the Valkyrie if you have AF specced for weakness. Throw on an acolyte with the power mod and you can get a pretty good amount of kill over a gold match with it.

Inb4xcalizor...

It's actually one of my favorite vids of his. I found it ironic that the pugs were getting a lot of kills, but in the end he still topped the scoreboard.

Thanks for the tip -- that's a fun video.

I have to say that I ignored the use of Barrier for a long time until finally caving in due to trying to get the challenge for it.  I found that the krogan adept was just a blast spamming barrier purge.  With a lighter weapon it has a pretty short cooldown and is the ultimate in 'get out of jam' abilities.  Melee and purging to go along with warp or shockwave is pretty dang good when you add the beefyness of a krogan (other than still being a sync target for the larger sync kilers.)

This.

Someone tested Barrier as well and I think it was uneffected.

Really? I tested barrier like 2 years ago and power synergy works with its detonation.

Can you explain why you can't stagger husks/aboms when detonating TA/Barrier some times, specifically when they do their melee swing, do they have stagger immunity or something?

L2gamemechanics Nuke!

I never got around to testing barrier myself.  Good to know that it does in fact work.  I wonder why it is different from TA?

Tech Armour is designed to work a bit differently from the other armours from a code point of view even if the general mechanics are the same as the other armours(activate for buff, purge for effect).

I wouldn't be surprised if they originally intended for it to behave more like it did in Mass Effect 2 and changed their minds somewhere during development.

That would have definitely been very interesting for gameplay.  I wonder how horrifically TA would have been hit with nerfs if it had the ME2 characteristics instead of what we have now.

When I first played ME3 SP, right after finishing ME2, I didn't even look on the wikia the various mechanics of the classes like I'm used to - I just went straight for sentinel since I just loved TA in ME2. Needless to say, I quit before palaven, right after I realized ME3 TA doesn't hold a candle to its ME2 counterpart...
