Can we use for our tactics something that is not on our quickslots?

Very smart question, I would like to know this as well. With only 8 slots, chances are I'll focus my character control on one who doesn't need many to begin with (like a tanky character whose only purpose is to keep aggro). This comes with the assumption that I can set, through tactics, more versatility with others and allow that through their AI. It's sad that that has to be the case, that the AI has to play them in order to get the full breadth of their abilities, but it would be even sadder still if that bit of silver lining weren't even an option.

IF there's a way to have multiple tactics profiles for my elemental mage, my entropic mage my spec mage etc. then that should be fine. I think. Haha! We just don't know much about the tactics at this point. I don't like the idea of micromanaging before a fight having to swap abilities around in tactics slots. I think it's definitely less of a problem for a rogue or warrior though. Dunno. As long as the combat is still fun and I'm not constantly restarting every single battle because I need to change stuff then I won't have any problems. It's just hard to tell what it will be like at the moment.  :)

Well unless they gut the entire tactics system, it should have I think 3 custom profiles pages you can save to like the last two games did, on top of all the preset profiles.
