Mission Order

around. No, I haven't looked at all of them. Very, very few of them.
I'm just trying to find a place to do, Omega and Leviathan. Give the game/story a natural flow to it. I was doing all of them after Horizon. Then , I started doing, Eden Prime as the first mission before Palaven.
Thought about doing, Omega after the Citadel Coup. But there's the timed mission, the Ardat-Yakshi. I don't know if that counts against it. And, I can't figure out a logical place to do, Leviathan.
Thank you for your time and help!

It depends on what class you are or how you want to approach the story.
Generally, I do something like the following nowadays. You can move some parts around.
1. Menae.
2. Eden Prime.
3. Sur'Kesh.
4. Missing Krogan Scouts (Claymore!). Unlocks The Shroud mission.
5. If I care about the fetch quests, then--in no particular order--Cerberus Attack, Cerberus Lab, Cerberus Abductions. These missions have fetch quests that must be turned in before The Shroud.
6. Grissom Academy. Must be completed before the Citadel Coup or it will disappear. Has a fetch quest item that must be turned in before The Shroud.
7. The Shroud.
8. Omega. You can do this earlier if you want the mods sooner.
9. Citadel Coup.
10. Recruit Tali, unless you feel that getting her creates too much a sense of urgency to complete the Geth-Quarian arc.
11. Citadel DLC, including Armax Arsenal Arena missions. I like some of the mods. You can leave this until after the Geth-Quarian arc.
12. In order: Geth Dreadnaught, Geth Fighter Base (for the easy intel), Rescue Korris, Geth Base.
13. Ardat-Yakshi monastery. Can do this sooner if you want the Intel bonuses.
14. If you have not started or completed it yet, Citadel DLC.
15. Leviathan DLC.
16. Rescue Turian Platoon, then the Bomb Site.
17. Thessia.
18. Horizon (Sanctuary).
19. Any N7 missions remaining: Cerberus Fighter Base, Communications Hub, Fuel Reactors (plus Cerberus Attack, Cerberus Lab, and Cerberus Abductions if you have not done them yet).
20. Cerberus HQ (Chronos Station). This is the point of no return.
21. Earth.
I like to recuit Tali before doing the Citadel DLC or Leviathan, plus some of the N7 missions and Turian Platoon+Bomb Site so i have the option of taking Tali and Kaidan/Ashley with me on those missions.

I do have a question.....You can hold off doing the Turian Platoon and Bomb for that long?
With the Citadel DLC, I just don't have to throw the party until after Horizon?

You can hold off until before Thessia. As soon as you complete Thessia (or possibly as soon as you get the mission by talking to the Asari Councillor), the mission disappears from your map. Credit to themikefest for pointing this out to me in another thread.
Holding it off that until you get Tali and Kaiden/Ashley can get you some different post-mission dialogue if you bring Ashley/Kaiden to the Bomb Site mission, and Ashley/Kaiden will have a comm-chat with Tali about the Bomb Site. Tali will also have a chat with EDI about the Turian Platoon mission.

I started following your order last night. Went to do, Omega I got sucked into the Citadel Coup. I sat there scratching my head until I realized, I forgot to go to Dock 42 earlier. So, I have to find another place to do it.

Do it immediately after the Coup, but before picking up Tali. As long as you do not meet the Admirals, then you do not know there is a war and you have no sense of urgency to complete the Geth-Quarian arc. Plus you cannot use any of your regular squadmates on Omega anyways.

I'm trying to figure out where I squeeze in the two times you have to go to the hospital and visit Ashley/Kaidan.
I was always going as soon as I got the emails. Then, I kept prolonging it a bit.
The last visit was just before the Shroud.
Is there an updated list floating around with all the "anytime" missions?

Curious.

Just visit them after you complete a mission.
1. Menae, then hospital.
2. Sur'Kesh, then hospital.

Thank you!
Off the top of your head, do you know all the "anytime" missions?
I know the N7 ones are. At least I think they are. Anyway, missions/fetch quests with no time limit?
Again, thank you for your time and help.

In the meantime, has anybody figured out how to reduce the number of trips to the Citadel?

Thank you for that. I'll work from that.

Complete every single quest before Priority: Tuchanka. Then, return to the Citadel and turn-in the quests.
For act 2 (After the Coup), I reccomend again doing everything before the point of no return (Cerberus HQ) and then going to the Citadel.
Two trips!
Oh, I almost forgot mentioning that there is a Priority: Citadel just before Thessia, aftrer The Quarian-Geth Arc so you can turn in quests while you're there too.
EDIT: FUUUUUUUUUUUU, didn't see it as a necro, OP probably completed the game as of now.
But this works for other people too.

I usually just go by the order they pop up, but for an "ideal" strategy, it would be centered around getting whatever weapons or upgrades you want as early as possible.

Well, in my NG+, since I already had all the weapons and mods I wanted, I felt Omega fit best right after the Coup since Cerberus had shown that they had become a serious threat and liberating Omega seemed like a way to hamper their operations.
I did Shore Leave right after the Rannoch arc since it seemed like that was a good time for a Normandy refit.
Right now I am running around doing side stuff like the Rachni, ex-Cerberus scientists, Monastery and will do the first Leviathan mission before returning to the Citadel to speak with the Asari Councilor.
In a non-NG+ I tend to do the Citadel DLC right after the Geth Concensus (2 nice upgrades there) in order to get the mods, the weapons, and the armor.

It can be liberating to do Omega before curing the 'phage. As a completionist I NEED to do it when doing a run, but sometimes hate combat-heavy Omega. So I get it out of the way early, pick up Lash if I'm playing a biotic and steamroll thru 'phage-coup-citadel/armax arena armor/geth.

What do you mean "pick up Lash?" Once unlocked, it should be available in every subsequent game from the beginning.

Replaying Omega DLC doesn't really bother me. I liked the actual mission. I agree that it is sort of odd to try and find a great spot for it to fit plot wise, although after Citadel Coup might make sense.
Really all three of the big story DLCs have that issue though since they don't really dovetail into the mainline missions very well. Although I guess to be fair a lot of the cameo side missions have a similar problem.

You are of course correct. I recently got a new computer and I have to unlock everything again so I was thinking from that pov. I must have turned off cloud saves or something.
